The resort is becoming run down and is in need of repairs. Room floors were not cleaned. Wait staff seemed unmotivated to provide services. Pool was closed and we saw no one working to clean it up over the three days we were there.

The bathroom floor needs to be mopped daily; additionally the room carpet needs to be vacuumed daily as well; for a dessert location, the AC was adequate during the day but seemed to be dialed back at night; finally, the laundry room was a mess needs to tidied up at least once a day; also the property could use a paint refresher on the exterior

Postives - The room was large and spacious. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was large with double sinks and plenty of space. Staining to the toilet is from the water supply and not a toilet cleanliness issue. Reception and dining staff were friendly, attentive and polite. The pool was a lovely way to cool down with the heat. The courtesy bus from the airport and around the resort was very convenient. It is a easy walk to the town square from the hotel with cafes IGA (supermarket) post office ATM machine sovenier shop and tour desk. Air conditioning was great! Negatives - Housekeeping does not exist! Complimentary toiletries were empty. Housekeeping staff did enter our rooms late on the second day of our stay however only emptied the bin. Nothing else was done. On the third day i voiced concerns to the reception staff who had housekeeping come to do our rooms. They did make bed and change a towel however they did not fill up the toiletries or coffee etc. You will get bugs in the room under the door etc as they are attracted to the light. Housekeeping during our stay did not even sweep them away. I will be formally speaking with the hotel regarding this. Pool is quite cloudy and has many leaves in it. In fairness the wind and trees around the pool would make this hard to maintain. You would be skimming continuously. The overall cost of dinner amd drinks is expensive, again in fairness the logistics of location makes that understandable to a degree.

Didn't go for the WIFI, but it sucked. They need to put a few bucks into improving it. You're in a sort of fishbowl there.

We came for a short stay to celebrate a significant birthday. For more context, there were four of us, all adults. We really enjoyed our stay at Desert Gardens Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable. We ate at both restaurants and enjoyed every meal. Having the pool was essential.

The biggest plus for this hotel is proximity to Uluru. But very expensive accommodation for the standard. I was expecting high end facility but that was not the case. No one was very friendly or helpful

Staff was friendly. Our room was nice but very far away from shops and restaurants. We didn’t have hot water one morning but they fixed it fairly quickly. Also, asking for a late checkout will cost you $50! Overall it was pretty expensive but quiet. Uluru was amazing but you also need a park pass for an extra $38! The resort shuttle was great 👍

The room was advertised to have a view of Uluru. The documentation on the web site showed low level shrubbery with no restriction of the view. The picture must have been taken a long time ago as I could not see Uluru from the room at all because the shrubbery had grown so much as to block out the view. Web site needs to be updated. I shall think twice again booking from this site.

This little gem in the heart of the Outback truly surprises! Excellent facilities, a wonderful variety of dining options both on-site and nearby, and a ton of well-organized activities to keep you entertained. A perfect mix of comfort and adventure.
