Lovely, dog friendly pub with delicious food and comfortable rooms with nice personal touches

Superb, start to finish, definitely will be going back. Excellent hotel, accommodation and food. Friendly staff and extremely dog friendly 😊. Stay just wasn’t long enough.

The rooms were luxuriously furnished and the hotel overall is very cosy and welcoming. Staff couldn;t do enough to help and the attention to detail was fantastic, everything from bags for walking boots to fresh milk on the landing for in room tea and coffee. A bottle of speciality beer in the room was a bonus.

Have been here once a year for a getaway, and always look forward to the great staff, meals and the warm cozy pub.

Loved out stay at this hotel and restaurant on our final day in the Lakes. We stayed in Scafell Pike with the only negative being the room was very hot (we stayed in late Aug). We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely clean, comfortable, friendly, welcoming hotel in an amazing setting. Room was perfect. Even had a mini fridge to keep your milk in. There was flapjacks and a bottle of beer in the room to enjoy. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked with local ingredients. We will book again.

A lovely country Inn serving great food. Our double room was spacious and very comfortable. There are circular walks directly from the hotel that we sadly didn’t have time to try out, but this only serves as a good reason to come again!

We've just spent a lovely week at the Queen's Head at Troutbeck, Windermere. Lovely staff. Great food. Just near enough Windermere without being in the hustle and bustle and easy walks right from the door! We hope to return again soon.

This property has extremely comfortable rooms which are quiet, excellent food selections at reasonable prices and exceptional staff who make you feel welcome. We can certainly recommend this hotel for a relaxed stay.
