Vatra Boiereasca is the perfect example for false advertising…..you are sold on the promise of a quiet relaxing stay in an old cabin only to be bate and switched upon a-rival with a common hotel room that has a broken couch which is completely incapable of offering a good sleep( it literally separated in the middle) and a shower door that falls off the rail and just about traps you inside…. it seems that regardless of how early in advance you book the place, ( we booked it over six months in advance.) you still get bumped if a larger group wants to come and rent out the cabins and they keep you up at night with their noise!! we did not use the spa they advertise bc you need to pay just to access it ( 250 lei pp and they have a min of two pol per visit( so $500 lei min which does not include any services)…I would not return and stay here again as it was a hudge disappointment The only bright side was they have an excellent chef that caters to whatever dietary restrictions you may have…..:)

Very beautiful location, professional staff.

Whilst it was quiet, I was encouraged to agree to have my dinner at 5.30pm and within a couple of hours of arriving when I had only had lunch elsewhere a few hours before so the chef could leave early. The dinner (ghoulash, polenta and cabbage) was OK but I couldn't really eat so soon after a full lunch. Wine served with dinner was very good.

Three of us stayed there for an overnight for a business trip in this beautiful area. The staff are outstanding and check in / check out was smooth as all little problems were dealt with diligently. We were there in low winter season and food options were limited but service compensated. Would come back for a leisure stay. Thank you all!
