The bed was super comfortable, the shower was so relaxing with the rain shower head and the temperature was perfect. The room was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed. The staff were helpful and friendly. And the access gate made you feel safe.

We had a great stay overall and would happily return, but a couple of small details let it down from a full 5 stars. The positives: Spacious, comfortable rooms with a super comfy bed Great location - train station at the door, and fantastic cafes and food nearby (we especially loved Browne Street and Toko's Tacos!) Friendly and helpful staff 24-hour check-in Secure, easy parking Toilet separate from the bathroom - very practical Good shower with decent pressure A few things that could be improved: Amenities were a bit stingy - just two sachets of body wash for a 3-night stay. We shower morning and night, so this barely covered day one. We expected a top-up the next day but were told rooms are only serviced every second day. That’s fine, but it would be helpful if guests were told this in advance, and/or if enough towels and toiletries were provided to cover the gap. TV placement – it can’t be seen from the bed. A swivel mount would make a big difference. Blocked bathroom sink – it drained so slowly it was basically unusable. We reported it, but unfortunately it wasn’t fixed during our stay, so we ended up brushing our teeth in the shower. These were small annoyances and easy to work around, but also easily fixable. If not for those, this would’ve been a 5-star stay.

Friendly helpful staff, good location, very spacious, clean room with nice decor. Loved how quiet it was considering it is located next to a railway station and has a school right next to it on the opposite side of the building. Great free secured parking area and venue security in general, felt safe.

Heaps of gates parking which we appreciate. Good sized rooms. New favourite.

A fairly big light room, electronic book in, free parking. Security key card for access, got the impression that the suburb may have issues. The room had alot of space and was clean and well set out. The mattress was medium to soft, pillows hard. A seat and chairs was a bonus. Kitchenette was great. Had to ask for extra tea & coffee as only 1 day provided for 3 day stay. Café(discount cards given) supermarket and dining within walking distance but we drove as weather was so bad. Recommend the RSA hall/bistro around the corner Thurs- Sat for pub style meals. The only issue was on the last night when we were disturbed the room inhabitants upstairs banging on the floor.

Nice to find another clean suitable accommodation spot for our family. Was good price and kaimahi upon arrival was very professional and informative. Great to have secure parking.

Lovely place to stay. Felt very safe, and staff were very helpful.

As usual - Roomie is amazing. The rooms are huge, the staff wonderful, the place is close to all you need. It's the one place I stay now when in Auckland.

Friendly staff

Im sure my bed sheets were not freshly cleaned as there was hair and what looked like snot on bottom sheet. Very comfortable bed though. Also i assumed that when you stay with pet there was going to be a small grass patch for dog to toilet, there was no grass. Lovely lady at front desk.

Excellent apartment

Spent 11 Nights in Feb 2025. 3 groups of families visiting from Canada. The bedrooms are huge and kitchen facilities are more than adequate. Very clean and safe. Reception was always willing to accommodate and were very friendly. We had a rental van but Avondale railway station is just steps away. Would definitely stay again.
