The "hotel" is a 20 minute uphill walk from town and the nearest shop or restaurant. It is self check in only. There are no people working there during the day or in the evening. When we arrived we obtained a room key from a lock box and eventually located our room. There are little notes posted all over in random places explaining how to get a cup of coffee from the machine, a drink from another machine (with incorrect prices and unwilling to dispense). It's simply odd and vacuous. At our room we discovered there was no Internet or phone service. We had hoped to use a taxi, but had no way to reach one. We realized a few things, one, if we lost our room key we would have been unable to access the building. The other concern was what to do in case of an emergency. Is this business actually approved to operate like this? We left to find a place to eat and on our way out noticed a ring camera. I tried it. A woman answered. I explained that there is no Internet or phone access. Her response, no apology, "the Internet might work tomorrow. Phones never work." That was it. How does someone run a customer service business without any customer service? This was like Faulty Towers without Lord Faulty or Manuel. Even though the room was ok, I could never recommend this place to anyone.. we would most definitely try to find a more normal operation within the town.
