Loved the layout- plenty of pools and seating options, including lots of shade.
I only tried the Mexican restaurant, which was so good I kept coming back, and the Italian restaurant, which was okay. The Don Julio buffet was fine but I got sick multiple times after eating there for breakfast (eggs and bacon).
Room was lovely, clean and new, and the partial ocean view was worth it.
The first two days of my trip (Thurs-Sat), I was ready to call the resort a wash due to poor service everywhere I went. But the Sunday through Wednesday service was much much better. Overall- I think the place is understaffed. They need more waitstaff by the pool, beach, and at each of the bars. And the waiter by the pools over the weekend (Jhony) was not very nice and downright hostile. I couldn't quite tell what I did to upset him. But starting Sunday, everything was much better. Jesus, the waiter by the pool the rest of my stay was wonderful, Angelica was the housekeeper for my room and she was fantastic too. Bartenders at the Lobby Bar were by far the best of all the bars- fast, friendly, and drinks were great.
I did not receive sparkling wine at arrival, and there are no actual snacks in the room- although the fridge was stocked and refilled.
This is a Pepsi property- no Coke, which I strangely had a stronger opinion on than I realized.
All in all a great resort, and I'll consider staying again next time I'm in Cancun.
