We really enjoyed our stay at The Lakes by Yoo. Everything was clean and well designed and the pool and spa facilities were good. Most importantly the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was a minor issue with our original room so they kindly upgraded us to a suite for our final night, which we weren't able to stay in as we had to leave due to a family emergency, but the gesture was greatly appreciated. We hope to visit again in the future!

A lovely stay from arrival to departure. Staff done an exceptional job with making us feel so welcome by going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and making my partner’s birthday so special. Lakes by Yoo truly feels like a home away from home and I would I highly recommended. Thank you for the upgrade. We will be returning.

Stunning visit- stayed just for 1 night but could not have been better. Upgraded room to Suite which was stunning. Flawless service, great food, and the Spa was brilliant. Thanks to all the team, really special stay. Feedback note- some confusion between kitchen and hotel services as to whether breakfast was included- kitchen disputed whether it was included which is a little awkward. Apart from this very minor note, was fantastic.

First time visiting here, even though we only live a shortish distance away. Can't believe we haven't been there before! Such friendly helpful staff. The room was immaculate, quiet and comfy. Breakfast was also delicious. We will definitely return, as we want to try the Spa facilities.

If you want a couple’s weekend in a suite, avoid The Lakes by Yoo. It’s eye-wateringly expensive with serious flaws, despite a few highlights. Yes, the fit and finish are high-end—furnishings, appliances, bathrooms, deck furniture—and the welcome pack and arrival impress. The site’s architecture, including the spa, is exquisite. That’s where praise ends. Our ground-floor suite sat in an apartment block. Its entrance opens onto a tiny corridor shared with two hotel rooms. Those rooms have solid doors; the suite doesn’t. Gaps around the frame let you see the corridor from the living space, so noise floods in and privacy vanishes. A stranger even walked into our suite, apologized, and fled—unsettling and hardly secure. Service felt off throughout. In the restaurant, staff were slow to greet us, the tent was cold, and small plates and salads were below gastropub level. Staff focused on packing down rather than guests. The spa looks great but execution wobbles: we booked the same treatment and got different focus areas; the pool zone was stiflingly hot. Overall, it feels like a stunning residential development trying—and failing—to bolt on a hotel. Almost nothing is included; even firewood and a high chair cost extra. Activities are absurdly priced. Cheaper hotel rooms don’t face the lakes, so why visit a lake resort with no lake view? I can’t recommend it—not for a suite, nor a day at the restaurant or spa. Many Cotswolds alternatives offer better quality, service and value.

AVOID. The worst customer service and food. You’re better off at a Premier In.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings. Guest services were very helpful both prior to arrival and on the day. We we definitely be back!

It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and a rare trip without children. We stayed in the hotel, the bed was very comfortable but there were a few details that weren’t as we would have hoped for the price or suggested standard. There was a balcony on our room, lovely but not so great to find out we were sharing it with the room next door and there was a dog walking around. We had no advance warning of this. No consideration that we might have been uncomfortable with dogs or allergic. The TV was on a wall to the side of the bed, it came out a little but made it unwatchable because of having to turn completely to the side to see it. The tea & coffee in the room was Nescafé sachets and 3 sachets of milk, completely disappointing for a hotel that sells itself as having extremely high standards. No refills or replacement glasses / mugs for a 2 night stay either. The products in the bathroom would have been lovely if they were actually filled. Upon arrival the staff are lovely but you never hear from them again during your stay. Its the little details that make all the difference and these points made it pretty disappointing.

A lovely 2 day break at the lakes, so peaceful and relaxing. Spa is great too and we pretty much had it to ourselves most of the time. Food in the tipi was also great, would have liked to have seen some more sweet breakfast and healthy options though. It would also be great if there was an on-site shop to buy any groceries/essentials to save having to drive elsewhere.
