The views from all over the property were amazing. The balcony photos in the room descriptions do not do justice. Each cabaña is unique.

Very friendly personnel, grounds full of nature sounds and clean. While there it was raining, so it made it a bit muggy in the room at night.

The view from the room was terrific, and there was easy access to the water. Floaties and kayaks were available to use. The food was okay. (I’m vegetarian, so all I had was fresh juice and grilled cheese, and the bread was decent.)

Te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Sin duda, un lugar perfecto para descansar y vivir la belleza de Guatapé. ¡Volveremos!

Nice little cabanas. The service was excellent and no complaints other than they call waffles pancakes there lol.

Sotavento is a lovely facility in a breathtaking setting. My room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. I *loved* the jacuzzi! However, the facility was understaffed. It seemed there was only one staff member on duty, and s/he was multitasking with cooking, waiting tables, and managing the front desk (and more I'm sure). Though I may have been the only guest, there should have been at least two guest-facing staff on duty 24/7. I didn't choose to do any of the recreational activities, but if I'd wanted to, I don't know who'd have set them up for me. When I was in the "restaurant", the server dropped off my food and disappeared. That said I didn't have to wait long for the food, which was excellent. (I highly recommend the salmon entree for dinner.) And the two staff I dealt with, a young man and a middle aged woman, were both very pleasant.

The map on expedia is incorrect. This hotel is not in downtown guatape. It's a 10 minute ride away. However, 1) the hotel will call you a cheap tuktuk 2) you would have to tuktuk to the piedra anyway 3) there are tons of tuktuks in the town to bring you back. Just make sure you have pesos! There are ATMs in town. Although I was initially sad I couldn't walk out and explore the town, in the end I was very glad to have the peace and quiet (and lake access). Also, the hotel delivers food to your door! Other great things: 1. The staff are so kind and welcoming. I came during the week and had the place to myself. They were patient with me as I practiced my spanish. They give you a whatsapp number and you just text when you have a question.. amazing service! 2. The dog on the property is very chill and sweet. 3. I loved the free paddleboard /kayak access. 4. The views from the room were incredible. 5. I always felt very safe on the premise (and in the town) 6. The massage was amazing and very reasonable.

The property was quaint and peaceful with friendly staff and great service. I would highly recommend Sotavento Cabins!

Location was beautiful, and waking up to the view was amazing. The biggest downside was the room service, not the service itself but the food quality. My girlfriend and I had dinner, and all of it was completely overcooked and dry. The staff itself was quick to respond to anything and very polite.

View is incredible. It has a net lounge which is pretty nice. It has a bath tub in the room. Staff is friendly but just slow with check in and check out since there’s only a few people working there. You can kayak in the river. Breakfast and dinner was awesome. You wake up to the sound of the birds chirping.

Excelente lugar. Buenisimas instalaciones complementadas con un servicio humano de calidad. Great location, excellent room, clean and comfortable. This place is complemented with a great team always willing to help you and make you feel welcome. Excellent services from both day and night staff.

The staff was amazing. They were very informative and accessible. It made things so much easier if we needed something. It was such a great and pleasurable experience from the staff to the facilities, I would definitely recommend staying here again.
