Loved the pool and swim up bar. The staff was superb!!

We stayed at the Marala Hotel for the last two nights of our Costa Rica vacation, and our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been treated so kindly at a hotel—it felt more like staying with distant family than at a resort. Everyone was extremely helpful in recommending local beaches, activities, and excursions, which made our time in the area even more enjoyable. The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast was included each morning. I especially appreciated that breakfast was made to order rather than buffet-style—it was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall experience. Our room overlooked the ocean and had such a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was watching monkeys visit our balcony! My 11-year-old son absolutely loved seeing the monkeys up close, and it became one of his favorite memories from our trip. The property is surrounded by mango and coconut trees, creating a beautiful tropical setting that made us feel immersed in nature throughout our stay. The hotel is truly unique and unlike the more commercial properties in the area. If you’re looking for a relaxing, authentic, and peaceful getaway, I highly recommend staying here and plan to be back for our next Costa Rica vacation.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They were happy to give us recommendations for local restaurants, good surf spots, and shops! The Breakfast is exceptional. We ate dinner at the hotel a couple of times as well and it was delicious. The food is just amazing! We loved staying there! The pictures included do not do this place justice. I would definitely recommend staying here! 10/10

This place is spectacular. The cleanliness is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly; they make you feel right at home—with the exception that here, you simply relax and enjoy the tranquility and privacy of this beautiful spot. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

What my husband and I love most about this place is its privacy and tranquility; they make us feel right at home. The kindness and excellent service provided by the staff are exceptional and truly unique. There are so many good things I could say about this place—there isn't a single negative aspect. I recommend this hotel 100%, without a doubt.

This place is about 1hour and 45min from SJO and it was the perfect trip for a few days to visit nearby Parrita and Jaco. We wanted a quiet romantic bitoque hotel and it’s exactly what we got. We walked to the beach (about 10-15 min walk) and then relaxed by the pool. The property views were amazing! The room was clean and comfortable.

Amazing staff! Just no Towels In the room. Everything else was quick and easy and breakfast and the views were delicious

Our ocean view room had a fabulous bed, plenty of room, and great shower. Pools were wonderful and clean. Restaurant had delicious food served by excellent staff.

Great restaurant…helpful staff. Nice, relaxed atmosphere! Communal spots, pool, restaurant, and bar area are excellent hub spots!

We really enjoyed our quiet stay at Marala. It was very clean, the room and bathroom were large and the entirety of the front of the resort offered amazing views. The restaurant and bar offered great selections! ALL the staff, front desk, waiters/waitresses, kitchen, housekeeping and bar tenders were kind and courteous. We would stay again!

Staff was wonderful during our stay. We would stay there again. We were able to leave our luggage there after check out and pick up later after a tour which helped us out a lot. The food was delicious from the restaurant
