We had a great weekend at the Cheshire Cheese, the bed was clean and comfy and the bathroom was spacious with clean crisp towels that were of ample size. Tbh, the room could do with a deep clean as there was a fair bit of dust visible behind cupboards etc . The decor is a bit dated, but its great value for money . The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and beer is great and good value Oh and the breakfast is fantastic We've stopped here before, and we'll be back again. It's a great pub

What a lovely little pub. Ideal for walkers, runners, cyclists etc. Very friendly staff. We had a very good evening meal on arrival day and breakfasts are superb. All food is freshly cooked to order. We shall definitely return and take our walking boots with us next time.

A perfect place to stay for a peaceful night in the Peak District. Comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. There is a lovely beer garden with hill views. Easy parking. The perfect location.

Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Food good. However, our room, No.3, was shabby, to say the least. Definitely not value for the price. Mould in the shower. Peeling wallpaper. Toilet window unable to open. Dirty carpet. Burnt arm on heated towel rail when bent down to retrieve towel from floor. No warning notice. Double wall socket peeling from wall. Dirty TV remote held together by sellotape. Small TV with poor sound. Photos support my assertions.

Lovely stay. The staff were excellent - very welcoming. Lovely breakfast and great location for exploring. Beds rather soft and bathroom would benefit from an update.

If you are looking for a spot that has character this, is it, it was a cozy old place above a pub. We went in the off season, so we had the place to ourselves. Nice little bookshelf filled with some fun activities to pass extra time off devices too! The food in the pub was not great for the price we paid, but the breakfast was amazing!

Room was tidy and the staff friendly. Pub was cosy and the food was excellent. If im in the area again i would definitely look to come back again

Lovely hospitality. Excellent food. Best duvet nice and warm duvet I have had when traveling. They go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Perfect get away for some quiet time in a traditional old pub in a small village walking distance from the train station. Right next to multiple hiking paths to famous hill tops.

Just had a lovely two nights here and will definitely be back. Food was great with a good choice menu and the breakfast was amazing! Staff were lovely and friendly and you could really feel that this was a happy ship! Rooms lovely and clean too Thank you to all and hope to see you again soon

Bedrooms very dated and need of a clean Having said that it was warm cozy quiet and bed comfortable Staff very friendly and breakfast very nice! evening meal pub grub ok Only a short walk to the other pubs in Hope as nd highly recommend the Kashmiri curry house delicious! Good place to stay for walking too and close to Castleton

What a lovely cosy, friendly place to stay. A good choioce for breakfast (full English was delicious using local ingredients) in the dining area with the log fire on. The staff are so nice and really make you feel welcome. Plenty of free parking outside accomodation and lots of walks nearby. Thankyou for an enjoyable weekend break.

Breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit and lovely cooked breakfast. Staff were lovely. On the downside - the mattress was so soft it sunk straight down to the divan below; also the bathroom needed a dust and clean (skirtings/doors etc)

Very enjoyable stay at The Cheshire Cheese Inn, staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the evening meal and the food quality was excellent and the service great. Nothing was too much trouble and the team chatted to us throughout the evening. Breakfast the following morning was top notch (my particular favourites being the sausage and bacon). I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay in this wonderful establishment if you’re ever in the area,

Quaint pub serving great ales the food was absolutely delicious huge plates full of great food. We could not finish it all. Breakfast was amazing great local fresh produce set us up for the day Would recommend staying here
