It’s a cute hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and it was pretty close to the puerto. It was a little noisy at night and we could hear karaoke from our room, but it was a cute place with clean water to drink.

For our first trip to the Galapagos, my two friends and I opted for the DIY style of exploring the Galapagos Islands. We wanted to stay at a place that was central to Puerto Ayora, small enough to not feel overwhelmed by tourists, and offered good recommendations for places to explore and restaurants to try. The staff at Maidith Inn delivered on all three! Maidith is a 5-10 minute walk to the busy shopping/dining scene and port from which the ferries depart, but far enough away from the busy street to be quiet at night. It had an intimate vibe, and Denis, the innkeeper for the time being, was there to greet us every morning and evening with kindness, fresh towels, and bottles of water. He provided great recommendations on restaurants to try in addition to the one-page list of dining options that Maidith had for its guests. When booking our reservation, I reached out to Maidith about some recommended places to visit on the way from the airport. For a reasonable price, they connected us with the best taxi driver who picked us up from the airport, took us to Los Gemelos, took us to Frontier Galapagos, where we saw land tortoises and hiked to/from the lava tunnels, and took us to the hotel. This taxi driver was incredibly kind and professional, and we ended up using his services two or three more times during our stay. As a plus, the daily breakfast is fresh and healthy. If traveling alone or with a small group, Maidith Inn could be the perfect option!

This was a great, quaint hotel that was very close to everything but quiet at night. The couple that owns it took great care of us but they do not speak English so be prepared for this. If I ever return I will definitely stay here again.

A family run business that goes above and beyond to care for their guests. A beautiful hotel able to get to know and give individual attention.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Breakfast was delicious each morning, Dennis and Lourdes were fabulous hosts. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature to cool off in after a day exploring. Restaurants nearby, Darwin Research centre super close. Very quiet and enjoyable stay. Would return!

I had scheduled an airport pick up, and confirmed a week prior to our arrival, but nobody showed up. I finally reached someone via whats app who informed that the driver must have left as our flight was delayed. I grabbed a taxi myself. Check in and office was managed by their caretaker (no english), and although nice, limited communication. I guess ok as I had made activity plans on my own. Locked gate (we did not know that the second key was the gate key). Clean room with good ac. No working locks on the windows. No secondary interior lock for the room. About three blocks off the main area, which was dark and deserted. Would not return.

Nice place, but check-in was problematic. Room was fully prepaid, but confusion with hotel staff and they requested I pay in full again. They eventually figured it out with Expedia (parent of Hotels.com).

We had an amazing stay at Maidith Galapagos in Puerto Ayora! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The host was outstanding—incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with arranging tours, cabs, and sharing great local recommendations. Our room was beautiful, well-appointed, and kept spotless thanks to the exceptional maid service. One of the highlights of our stay was the included breakfast—10 out of 10! Each morning featured a delicious, different hot meal, freshly prepared and beautifully served. The location was perfect—just a few blocks from the center of town, close enough to everything while still feeling peaceful and quiet. The hotel itself is charming, with lovely design touches and a small pool in the courtyard that adds a relaxing, tropical vibe. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Santa Cruz! It truly made our Galápagos experience even more memorable

Owner’s son operates the hotel and is so nice and helpful. Gave us restaurant recommendations that were great. When we needed to leave before breakfast, he got up early to make us coffee and provided us with boxed lunch. Very happy with our stay at Maidith Galapagos Inn!

Fantastic experience at Maidith Inn! We loved how quaint and charming the hotel was. Our room was spotless and comfortable for 4 of us (a couple with a kid travelling with another adult friend). Appreciated the freshly cooked breakfasts, and Juan Carlos was exceptionally helpful. When we arrived, he helped us get our bearings of the town, recommended restaurants other guests enjoyed, and made himself completely available to help with our stay. He also helped us arrange tours -- everyone in the Galapagos seems to work exceedingly hard to make guest experiences great. We felt completely safe and entrusted Juan Carlos to handle cash payments on our behalf for tours. We enjoyed cooling off in the evenings in the small outdoor shower and pool. The hotel is in a quiet area but completely walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Highly recommend, wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
