Clean room and friendly staff. I liked that the property and rooms were environmentally conscious.

Amazing location right in the middle of everything yet completely quiet at night. No frill but comfortable size room with tall ceiling and huge windows with the view! Bring your own hair dryer though.

Great location but gets really loud on the weekends in the plaza it faces - tourists/students partying in the streets till 4am so make sure you take a pair of the free earplugs they hand out. Close to the canals the tower and a 10 minute walk to the station - everything you need. Front desk staff really nice and welcoming. The connecting 5th restaurant is a decent (if overpriced) spot.

Great one night stay with everything that we needed: a comfortable bed, free storage space for our luggage upon arrival (and before check-in), a central location.

Walked in and noticed windows did not open. We went out to have something to eat. When we came back in our room we had to go downstairs to talk to front desk saying there was absolutely INSUFFICIENT AIRFLOW IN ROOM maintaining basic quality and promoting a healthy living environment. Seemed air exchanger located near ceiling was not working. Staff went downstairs to get us a cheap tripod fan which was very VERY noisy. How smart !! WILL NEVER NEVER BOOK AGAIN WITH STAYOKAY ! NEXT TIME, WE WILL CHECK ROOM BEFORE PAYING STATEMENT BECAUSE THERE IS NO DISCLOSER ON STAYOKAY'S WEBSITE SAYING WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN. ALSO VERY UNSAFE IN CASE OF FIRE ! WHAT A SHAME !

Considering the prices of hotels/hostels in Utrecht and its location, its a pretty good deal. The rooms are barebone but clean and spacious enough (as far as the private ones go). I would stay there again, but keep in mind its no frills!

We had the six bed room with private bathroom. While spacious, the room was freezing with cold air blowing on us in the middle of winter. There were two showers but one was not useable because of the smell.

Centrally located with comfortable private room with private bathroom. A bit of noise from the street during the night. Breakfast was good with many options.

Great location! Had everything we needed!

This was a good value overnight stay for central Utrecht, and great to have the private bathroom facilities. The room only has floor radiator that you can control, but I found it would only heat the side of the room nearest to it and not the rest of the room towards the bathroom. It wasn't a terrible issue, but a little irritating to be so cold everytime you walked to and from the bathroom. Aside from that, there was a great view to the square from my room (#105) and a nice lounge area in the common space outside the room to work from or relax.

The staff are all very nice and helpful. The property is clean but I wish there are more lamp or light next to the table or the electric outlet.

Very pleased with this property. We decided to try a hostel for one night during our trip to let our kids see a hostel. We were so pleasantly surprised by this hostel. We did pay for upgrades like linen service and towels and Kate check out. Worth it to us. It was nicer than all our much more expensive hotels in three cities in Belgium. The location was fantastic. The service was great. We loved the little restaurant and bar connected to it and used their games. We would all stay here again.

Great stay here at stayokay hostel. Place is situated on a lovely square with restaurants and sit down bars, great for summer months to have a drink or two outside. Booked a private room which was clean and basic. Shower room was a decent size and had a powerful shower. On site bar was cosy and had areas where you could just relax, with a separate area where you could work (laptops etc). Close to main streets and canals. Checking in and out was easy. Only issue was, that the windows we had in our room (sizeable) couldnt be opened, also no ventilation either. Great view but due to temperatures outside reaching 30°c, this made it some what stuffy in the night when trying to sleep, not unbearable but also not so comfortable either.

Nice walkable distance to the central station.
