NO ONE should book this property. We paid $2,600 for a week and ended up leaving on day one. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and have never once walked out until this place. I don’t even know where to begin. Before you even get to the hotel, enjoy climbing up the disaster of a dirt road. It’s extremely steep and full of holes that will most definitely scrape the bottom of your car. I was really concerned for my rental. Driving up and down this road, especially at night, was a nightmare. The room is tiny and poorly maintained. Firstly, there’s no lock at all. Literally anyone can walk in. The outdoor stairs separating the room and bathroom are extremely steep with no lights. Just hope you don’t need to use the bathroom at night or you’re screwed. WiFi barely works and constantly cuts out (and no service here otherwise). The only lighting you have in the bedroom is one tiny lantern - had to resort to using my phone flashlight. Also, the insect net is broken - enjoy all the bugs crawling in! No AC in the bathroom, so if you’re getting ready or changing, be prepared to sweat (since there’s no mirrors in the bedrooom). Cleanliness was unacceptable. The pillows had visible foot marks and the towels had dirt stains when we arrived. Instead of taking responsibility, we were told to bring the towels to reception ourselves if we wanted clean ones. What made this worse was the complete lack of accountability. They refused to offer any compensation, support, or refund. Every

You can drive up the road it's all 500 foot walk up the side of a dirt mountain and then stone steps and there's nothing in there. I had to walk and carry for suitcases and then the bathrooms are 15 steps down at 5 o'clock in the morning, it was just a disaster Nice people though they took care of me. They were nice but it's not for someone that 61 years old with four things of luggage that's for sure unless they're a bill gold. I need to fix the road so that you could drive close to where you're staying and they're only open in the morning and in the afternoon the rest of the time.

Everything was perfection from the time we arrived until our departure. I will absolutely book this stay again. The staff felt like family and were so kind and hospitable. We traveled to La Fortuna, San Jose, Papagayo and Santa Teresa and Santa Teresa/ the Bohemia Experience was the best hands down.

It is a beautiful stay deep in the jungle. It's on the far end of Santa Teresea, but close to great restaurants like Nami. You will absolutely need an ATV to get to this hotel. If you are afraid of driving ATV's, then this stay isn't for you. I got used to the drive up the hill to get to the stay, but at first I was scared. Overall, it was a great experience. Very quiet so if you're looking to meet people, this isn't the place.

It was a great place, just be mindful the beach is a 4x4 or four wheeler drive away and a bit hard to find but the people are very helpful and send you videos and are available for anything to help you and send pins ect so you can go to different places. Very peaceful vibes

PROS: - AMAZING property. We hangout at the pool almost every day. There are only 5 rooms (3 bungalows and 2 'glamping' tents) so it was almost like we had a private pool every day. Impeccable views from the pool. - Made to order breakfast every morning (free) served on the deck overlooking the jungle and ocean. Meal changed every morning. Usually was some sort of egg dish (scramble, omelet, etc.) with toast. One morning was chia seed pudding with fruit on top. Always fresh cut fruit and fresh juice on side. Such an amazing highlight of the day. - A staff member manned the bar/reception until late morning and then again in the evening. They were super helpful in arranging EVERYTHING. We arrived late in the evening our first night and were starving. The hotel is up in the jungle and a little difficult to access without an ATV. The receptionist was able to give us a few options for good delivery, took our order, and arranged delivery. They also arranged our ATV rental and horseback riding. Almost every day we asked for dinner/lunch/takeout recommendations. Seriously so helpful with everything you might need. Was also able to WhatsApp message them if away from hotel. When you're in a foreign country and don't speak the language, the help they provided was invaluable. CONS: - Although it's a double-edged sward, the incredible views did come with the fact that you had to get up/down the hill every time you left. Renting an ATV is a MUST - Wish they provided beach towels

I recently stayed at this amazing beach resort for the third time while visiting Santa Teresa. Each time the vibes and the staff at Bohemia made this experience an unforgettable one. Breakfasts at the resort was another highlight. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious, fresh and healthy options. Thank you and see you again next year.

Amazing landscape, must have a 4x4 to get there. On the negative side, hotel have no inhouse amenities, beside breakfast no food or drinking coverage during the day, low quality of linen and towels, nice but cold swimming pool and no flexibility for late check out despite being Expedia Platinum

Amazing experience, such a beautiful stunning property with views that are out of this world. One of the best places to stay in Santa Teresa! I will return. Even saw a famous Hollywood actress whilst I was there. I will be back for sure.

Bohemia Experience was our favourite spot to stay while visiting Costa Rica for our honeymoon this past month. It is a short ATV or 4x4 drive away from the Main Street of Santa Teresa. The ocean view from the pool deck and common area was amazing. The included breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious-it was lovely waking up and being able to enjoy the views on the deck every morning. We saw many monkeys while visiting and most mornings we would watch them from our balcony. Staff were all extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. They helped arrange an ATV to be dropped off at our place and provided recommendations on activities to do and places to eat! We will be back.

I had a wonderful stay at Bohemia! I stayed in the Maya bungalow for 2 nights and it was very clean and functional. I travelled to Costa Rica alone and I did feel safe at Bohemia as a female solo traveller. The property is beautiful, there were many monkeys on the trees near the yoga studio, and other wildlife. There is also a sweet little kitten named Bianca that wanders on the property. Breakfast is included in the stay, as well as coffee and filtered water. The food was delicious! The staff were friendly and they provided me with recommendations for food and shopping in the area. The only challenging part of the stay was driving, and they do advise you to have 4x4 drive because the roads are unpaved and can be a little steep. Other than that no issues!

Overall charming property with unique guest suites. However, the location is very much off the beaten path. You need a 4x4 to get up the steep hill to it and it is almost at the very end of the St Theresa strip of restaurants, etc. Other than breakfast, there is NO food here and if you don’t have your own vehicle, you need to rely on taxi’s to get you anywhere. Cell service is extremely hit & miss and showers with small droplets of water, no pressure and with hot water barely coming through. The location of the area for massages, etc is not great as it is right next to the entrance / parking and when receiving services, you are constantly jolted out of relaxation by the sound of tires getting traction, doors slamming, people honking & talking. It is a cute place that has potential but unfortunately there are some things that could be worked on to make it better.
