The staff tried their best but didn't have have much to work with. The lift didn't work and from previous reviews hadn't for quite some time. The cafe had no hot meals during our stay and the sites is quite a way out of town. The car park was an unpaved mess. Clothes hanging very limited and the TV was a cast to only, no live TV. The shower was quite good.

If you’re just looking for beds and a shower, it’s fine. We stayed in a family room that slept six. The beds were comfortable enough. However, the room was stuffy and there is no air conditioning. We tried to open the single window and discovered a lot of knats. So we smashed them and decided not to open the window since there are no screens. They did provide two fans in the room, so we made do with that for the one night we stayed. In the morning we went out to put our bags in the car and there were knats everywhere, like hundreds of thousands of them. And we found out that they bite. They obviously got into the car while we were loading it and we had to try to get them out while we drove away. This is enough to make me never want to visit there again :/

Nice and quiet place perfect as right by the gondola. Great in winter for skiing and in spring/summer for biking.

We had a fantastic stay! It was convenient, clean, comfortable and quiet. We really enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the cafe. The highlight of our stay was the staff. They were all so friendly and eager to help. A special shout out to Ben at the cafe. He took such good care of us and he is a standout member of the team.

Very friendly staff in reception gave a great welcome to a very clean and well stocked room although no Yorkshire tea 😮. Bed was comfy and there was a great shower, much needed after a day in the hills. My only gripe is when you switch off the lights you realise that the mighty eye of Sauron is still burning away. The fire exit light in the room entrance is way too bright. People had obviously tried to reduce it (mine had a fetching Mr Bump sticker over it) but the light just still comes through as if it’s part of the hadron collider. Otherwise…a great stay!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay before our trip up Ben Nevis. Very easy to get to, plenty of parking and included in the price of your stay. Cafe/bar/restaurant was brilliant especially since we had a 13 hour drive up from the south and got there about half an hour before closing but they stayed open and we had a great meal with really good local beer. Rooms were very well stocked with tea coffee biscuits, shampoo conditioner and soap. Plugs both side of the bed, you can connect to the TV for youtube, shower pressure was good, temperature of the rooms was great. Rooms came with a fan and hairdryer which was a must for some of our guests. I think they said 24 hour manned reception not that we needed it. Great price great location, now I know this place exists I wont be staying anywhere else!!

We had a really enjoyable stay at Base Camp Nevis and would definitely recommend it. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re exploring Fort William and the surrounding Highlands. It’s perfectly placed for visiting Ben Nevis and nearby attractions, while still feeling peaceful and relaxed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It had everything we needed for a short stay, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and easygoing. One of the highlights was how convenient it was for starting our daily trips — whether heading to Glenfinnan, Skye, or just enjoying the local scenery. It made our travel plans very smooth. Overall, a great base for exploring the Highlands. Good value, great location, and a pleasant stay 👍

This is a great location as your base for your adventures on Ben Nevis......as it says in the name 😀. The staff are friendly and helpful and check-in/out went smoothly. There is an amazing cafe opposite that serves snacks, full meals and drinks. Also on site is the bike hire and the staff here have excellent knowledge of the area and all things bike related. To top it off the hotel is situated right on the Nevis gondola station. Fully recommend staying here.

Cheap alternative to staying in Fort William, great location and nice room. Parking is free for hotel guests and you get a discount on the Gondola as well as at the bar and gift shops. Quiet when I was there though I'm sure it gets much busier at other times of the year. Would stay there again!
