The accommodations are very dated. First attempt to checkin was met with a rude 'come back at 3p' - no direction to activities or hotel amenities to pass the 1.5 hours. There is a lot of attention to flowers and grounds, but the interior of the cabins is very 'used.' The first refrigerator we received didn't work. The housekeeping staff not only did not make up our bed, but left our door open. I would have stayed in Talkeetna if I had known this ...

This is one of only a couple places to stay with large groups close to the summit of Denali (not driving distance). The views of the mountains are excellent. I recommend eating off site if possible for better value. Rooms were basic but very clean.

Housekeeping didn’t stock soap in the shower as requested and then asked us to leave before our checkout time.

There were hair pins on my floor when I arrived to my room. My bathroom had hair in the sink. That is disgusting. I thought, don’t complain, see how they clean it in the morning. Came back to my room after being out for a full day at Denali and guess what? The hair pins were in the same place. Upon check out, I commented about it at the front desk, asked to speak to a manager and initially the front desk receptionist said “she’s not available, they’re in a meeting” like it didn’t even matter. Then my friends that were staying another room had a mouse in their room the last night of our stay. They called the front desk. The front desk solution…we’ll bring mouse traps. Mouse traps? How about moving to another room? How about reimbursement for the room for that night. It’s a never again And I hope to discourage others to not stay there as well. Princess Hotels should be ashamed of themselves.

The property is in a great location with proximity to Denali National Park. The amenities are good and have nice walking trails. Restaurants choices around the area are limited to none. But there are 3 restaurants on premises.

The location's view was amazing. The room itself was very out dated. There were oversized lamps that took up a majority of the table and end table space around the room. One thing that isn't made clear when booking is parking is TERRIBLE. Depending on the building your put in parking is very far away. My parents who have mobility issues couldn't even get close to their building to be able to drop off their bags. They needed walk up a steep incline. We booked two rooms and weren't able to be remotely close. The building I stayed in the door to the outside didn't even lock or looked air tight. It had no elevator which after a long day lugging up 4 suitcases two flights of stairs was really annoying. I would look at different options in the future, pretty views weren't worth the headache.

The hotel and grounds are resort style. This place is an extension of a cruise vacation and everything is a la carte. $3 for the ingredients to make 1.5 smores is ridiculous. The ability to do laundry at $5/load was a bonus. The onsite restaurants were very nice.

Loved the shuttle service. We stayed in a room that was farther away from the main lodge so having this option to get a ride was great!

Person checking us in wasn't friendly . Here are your keys and a map to the property then back to visiting with coworker aignage to groups of buildings was poor and we drove around ,3 times before finding the access to our building only to find there was no elevator to the 2nd floor and nowhere to park. We didn't even walk up the stairs to see the room. Called and talked to a very nice person who was able to switch us to a first floor by the time we drove back to the main lodge. Very accommodating and showed us which turns to take to get to our next building, which also had a parking area for that building. Very nice room, but the smoke alarm above the bed was hanging by wires from the ceiling and the shower wouldn't stay on showerhead, which wasted a lot of water. The grounds were quiet and well maintained.

Great resort-like setting with many activities and 3 restaurants, but this facility caters to Princess Cruise Ships with guests arriving in buses. The parking is very inadequate for travelers who are driving their own cars.

The viewing deck!! Each time you step outside the view of the mountain range is different and dramatic. On chilly mornings that lobby fireplace is awesome! The rooms are dated but very charming

Good value and lovely scenery. Several choices for food and beverage. Gift shop was moderately priced with a varied selection of gifts and clothing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Patio and deck views of the mountains were beautiful.
