What can be said that has not already been said? Wow! We loved that the staff were as enthusiastic about a hotel, formerly a prison, as we were. The art work in the room/cell and through out the building was amazing, thought provoking and modern. The room in "prison chic" was very comfortable and spacious for two tired cycle tourists. Plus, a super secure place to store our bikes, much appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety and worth the price. Our only regret is not being in Beziers when the restaurant was open for evening meals. Definitely one of the most unique places we have stayed and the most memorable. Merci to the whole team that make this place a joy to stay in.

Never made it to this hotel. We spent over an hour looking for it. We could not even park our rental car close by to find the hotel by foot. NO PARKING TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE. No hotel to be found, no parking so we could walk around to look. Driving to this hill, the streets are very narrow ( not exaggerating at all). We found another hotel at the center of town.

Our second stay at La Prison... and it was just as good as the first! This time we had very comfortable twin beds, which meant we could look out of the window at the view...and what a view! Great sunset both evenings! Didn't eat at the bistro as we had other places we wanted to eat at, but did have breakfast. Plenty of choice. Only niggle was the fruit juice was very sweet. The place is quirky, it's a little out of the way, but we would (and will) stay there again. Only negative... they promote the use of bicycles, but couldn't help us with hiring a bike.

Excellent room with a beautiful view. Very comfortable bed. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The restaurant had excellent service and the food was phenomenal. They also have a terrace where it is lovely to have a wine by glass and enjoy the view. Excellent accessibility from the ground level as there were several elevators to avoid walking up steep hills. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if staying in Beziers.

certainly a stay to be remembered, wonderful staff and great breakfast. please note that many restaurant including the one at this hotel are closed on Monday but plenty of other choices around.

The Hotel La Prison is a very quirky place to stay. Cells have been converted to rooms. Our room was on the 4th floor with amazing view but not part of cell block. Room was spacious with good bathroom- no fridge in the room and pool was very green and didn’t look too inviting to swim in. Staff were pleasant and helpful Drinks on the balcony lovely A great stay

A really cool overnight stay. Well designed and authentic apart from the restaurant which seems an odd addition. The hotel sits wonderfully in the historic plaza by the cathedral. Very comfy bed. Breakfast though was bang average

We received a wonderfully warm welcome from staff pursuing the highest standards of customer care and engagement. The Hotel la Prison is part boutique hotel, part immersive cultural experience, part modern art gallery. And the sum of the parts is a unique hotel experience. Really enjoyed the quality of the breakfast, even if range limited (curated!), in the attached bistro and the ambition in the evening meal we had in the same location.

Amazing experience in a great part of town. Close enough to the centre but quiet at night. Relaxed atmosphere.

After a snafu with my VRBO, this was the last room in town. BEST BAD LUCK EVER!!!! The hotel was great!! The staff was awesome. The breakfast was slightly overpriced for the limited amount of options, but the view itself was INCREDIBLE!!! I was a little concerned about the lack of A/C in the rooms on a VERY HOT WEEKEND, but with the fan and the thick prison walls... it was no sweat. Literally!!!

Fantastic quirky hotel. Loved tge room which was mych bigger than a prison cell! Great bathroom too.

This Hotel is an experience, so cute, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely location with views out over the river Orb. Right next to Cathedral. Close to several very pleasant restaurants. Very walkable to Hotel de Ville, tourist office, market hall, Carrefour, laundromat, Plateau des Poetes and Jardin de la Plantade parks, SNCF train station, transit hub at Place DeGaulle, and lots of shopping of all kinds.
