Lovely place to stay, we had a very good size room with a nice view on the second floor. Room was very clean and the host was very helpful. Close to bus stop or a 15min walk to get to old town

Gladstone House was exactly what I needed for my short solo stay in Edinburgh. Super clean and very charming. I would stay here again if I am back in the city.

The house was very lovely and the rooms were spacious. The stairs to the 2nd floor rooms are a bit steep though. It's a bit of a walk into old town, and there are few restaurants in the area, so plan accordingly.

The hosts were very kind and informative. The parking wasn’t great and very limited. We got lucky on our second day and were able to snag one of two parking spots instead of parking offsite along a side street. Breakfast was NOT included when booking through Expedia so if you think this is a bed & breakfast, be prepared to pay extra for that. Overall a very nice house with a comfortable room.

Fantastic place to stay! Very clean, quiet, and incredibly friendly owners. This was our first trip to the UK and we cannot wait to return. When we do the Gladstone House will be on our list of returning stays!

Gladstone house is in a great location. The bus stop to go to the royal mile and other attractions is just a minute away. We opted not to have breakfast at our stay as there were a lot of food and drink options within a walkable distance. The property also has convenient free car parking. We were not happy with the room. We booked a regular double bed room. However, the room that we were given was a loft. The bath room was really tiny with very little head space. My wife and I both got hurt using the wash basin. After that we were extra careful. The owners are a sweet couple. However, they blamed the room allocation on Expedia. I wish either the listing or Expedia had clearly specified that the room is a loft. We would have planned for something different.

Room warm and confortable but we stayed in Edinburgh on a very cold weekend and the bathroom was uncomfortably cold. Other than that faultless. Xia and Ivy were very attentive. - Thanks -Xie xie :)

Old fashioned B and B on the bus route into central Edinburgh. Don't expect parking- it's less than 'limited'.

This is not a hotel. It is a B&B, which means no lobby,  breakfast ends early at 9:30 on the weekends, and you have to check out at 10:30 on the weekend. Rooms are large and nice but there is a lot of traffic noise comming in from the main road which makes it very hard to sleep. Service is good.

The hosts were more than welcoming, going out of their way to make us comfortable. The stay was relaxing and more than met our expectations. Breakfast was exceptional every day. Being able to attend the nearby conference but also being close to the city attractions was great for us.

This hotel allowed us to relax and enjoy Edinburgh after an exhausting walking tour in the Borders. We wanted to enjoy the city while also be able to enjoy the charm of a lovely B&B. This was perfect.

Made to feel welcome by owner, very helpful in giving information and room had lots of information on how to get to many places, either for shopping, buses or nearest bars which served food etc. Nothing was a bother to her and she even provided iron and ironing board when requested. The whole place was immaculate. There was good choice of breakfast but fry-up was not up to expectations after reading reviews of how wonderful it was.

We chose Gladstone House for the breakfast offer. The others were plastic buffets and some wanted a minimum of 2 nights. Our room faced the garden and was quiet. Facing Dalkeith Road would have been noisy.

My stay at Gladstone House was one of my favourite stays... ever! I am a frequent traveller so I've stayed in a wide range of accommodations, but Gladstone House was excellent in every way. Both the room and common spaces were decorated exquisitely. We received a very warm welcome and wonderful service from our host. The breakfast was fine dining quality. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to any friends.
