Wonderful!

Absolutely incredibly staff, super helpful warm and welcoming, the room was clean and lovely for a single! Couldnt have asked for anything more!

Lovely comfortable hotel with every attention to detail

Free parking a couple of minutes away. Hotel was in a picturesque village, very quiet and near to the Peak district shopping centre and Bakewell. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely old building made into a comfortable and stylish hotel. Library and lounge areas very relaxing with real fires. Menu very appealing but did not eat at the hotel, breakfast was excellent. A really nice hotel very close to Bakewell, the Chatsworth estate and house

Fabulous one night stay. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, fine dining in the restaurant and excellent breakfast.

A great place to stay at if you plan to visit Chatsworth or Bakewell area It is like going back in time, but still get to enjoy modern amenities. All staff we encountered with were all super nice and welcoming. The room was amazing and food was superb.

I am full of praise for The Peacock Hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a lovely view over the garden. Our evening meal in the restaurant was outstanding - delicious, high quality, creative and beautifully presented food- all served by a great team of staff in a relaxing atmosphere. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and unwind Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, fantastic food and super staff.

The hotel staff were all well trained but friendly and helpful at the same time. Food and wine were excellent and the atmosphere at the Peacock was calm and serene with a comfy feel about the place. Felt very welcoming and the car park was not too far away for all our luggage! Had a lovely stay and all was as it should be and more.

Very comfortable bed and helpful staff. Antique furniture in the room might be nice to look at but it’s not always comfortable to use. Would’ve been nice if there had been a couple of comfortable chairs in the room. Also, having only a small cafetière in the room means that it has to be cleaned out after each use. That includes disposing of coffee grinds. Where do you put them?

The peacock at Rowsley was excellent on all levels,clean,lovely location,really enjoyed my stay ,all the staff are so friendly and always smiling.

The room was quiet and cozy making us feel like we were really on vacation. The beds were the comfiest we experienced on our 6-day roadtrip. My only disappointments were that they charged for the paper in the morning but there was no mention of the charge when I ordered it the night before (I guess I'm living in a bygone era in my mind when papers were given freely), and my poached eggs on toast came out on burnt toast and the yolks were almost hard (not at all runny). Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Beautiful stone built hotel. Very attentive staff. Excellent quality food with good choices. Very comfortable bed. Spacious room, aircon in room was perfect (and quiet) for hot day and night.

Exactly what I wanted, what I have expected hearing from my family who have stayed there previously so it was great to have a relaxing time with great service and food
