The hotel’s location is excellent, just steps from the center of town, and the price was very reasonable. The family room worked especially well for our group of four friends, offering plenty of space and the convenience of two full bathrooms. The main drawbacks are that the property feels quite dated and could benefit from renovations. The carpet was worn and had an unpleasant odor, and our biggest issue was a strong musty smell throughout the property. Room 24 also had a noticeable sewage odor, as if the toilet’s wax ring needed replacement, which significantly impacted our stay. The entry to that room has a dangerous drop off, and we nearly fell many times. That said, the combination of location, value, and room layout still makes this property worth considering if those are your main priorities.

This hotel was such a nice treat during our stay in France. We had double rooms for the family room, the hotel was clean and air conditioned, and the breakfast was lovely. They also offered laundry service. The hotel is also in an excellent location!

Staff at check in was incredibly nice and attentive. Room was shown and explanation of access both during daytime hours and after hours (there is a back door to the old town that makes it a snap) was given. Room was cozy, not large, but bathroom was great and amenities were good. Air conditioning worked splendidly. Centrally located right across the street from the Loire River. Our room (#7) had a balcony (shared) with a deck table and chairs. Rooms have a small fridge with “minibar” items. Guests are provided a free bottle of locally sourced spring water. It’s a charming boutique hotel and we would definitely stay here again if need arose!

Great location - walkable to everything! Large spacious clean room and had air conditioning which was such a nice bonus since it was so hot when visiting. Nice breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was very good! Apple Cake was my favorite. We did not need AC. The room was comfortable even though weather was cold.

As a special treat we took the best room with vast balcony etc overlooking the Loire. Tremendous. Breakfast was very good. Staff were excellent. Location terrific. We had a great time.

Great room. Plenty of space , nice tub and shower. Clean with helpful staff. Only thing we would have liked was to have AC on. We cracked the window and were just fine. Great location. Would stay here again.

Parking was easy. Many restaurants and shops were close to the hotel.

The hotel was well situated. 15 min walk from the train station and close to restaurants, cafes and shops. The staff were very helpful. The view of the River was lovely to see from my window.

Amazing location, bed is great and plenty of parking. Loads of great restaurants in walking distance and right next door to the Chateau Amboise.

Everything was wonderful except that only instant coffee was available in the room. That’s not good enough. That said we are now at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile and it’s just instant coffee in the room. Is this where France is headed?

Small, comfortable room, but fairly loud as it was on a busy street. However, it had a nice view of the river and was walking distance to the castle and Le Bois. Convenient for tourists. I did not have the breakfast.

We were upgraded to a larger room that was quite spacious. The room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very kind and helpful.

Dont like the coffee machine not good hot coffee. Prefer coffee made properly.
