Charming ambience and great customer service made this pricey stay worthwhile for a Janeite and her husband. Check in was very pleasant and easy, with staff carrying our suitcases to the top floor room and down (upon checkout). The rooms were large and comfortable. The shower had a door, not always a given for showers in the UK. I would have liked faster service at breakfast time, as we'd already eaten before our menu order was taken. The free snacks and drinks in our room was a nice perk. All in all, I wish we'd had more time to stay there to enjoy the first edition novels in the snuggery. One night was not enough.

A magical Regency escape in the heart of Marylebone Henry’s Townhouse is a true hidden gem in London. As someone who travels often for work (and who is already married), I wasn’t expecting to be swept off my feet—but this place did exactly that. The townhouse, once home to Jane Austen’s favorite brother, is full of historic charm while offering every modern comfort. I stayed in The Eliza room, which felt like something out of a period film—beautifully designed, with a supremely comfortable bed (the best of my entire trip), a luxurious soaking tub, and even a curated selection of first edition Austen novels for guests to enjoy. The morning staff deserve a special mention—they were incredibly kind, warm, and full of hugs (the real kind, not just the metaphorical ones). Their thoughtfulness truly made my departure that much sweeter. Whether you’re a literature lover, a couple seeking a romantic retreat, or planning a small wedding celebration or honeymoon in London, Henry’s Townhouse is a perfect choice. I’ll absolutely be returning—and recommending it to my clients as well.

Just had a one night stay in Henry’s townhouse in the James room. very comfortable room, very comfortable bed- exceptionally clean with a good size bathroom and excellent walk in shower. Love this property, felt like a home from home really interesting to look in each different reception room with its various knickknacks and artwork. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful couldn’t really fault it in anyway. would happily return another time

I stayed in 4 hotels during my trip to the UK; Henry’s Townhouse hands down the best experience. The property is absolutely stunning and well maintained. The most wonderful part of my stay was the people who work there; Susanne, Tiare, Larry and the House Manager Ann all made a difference of my experience. Perfectly located, close to shopping, try Tube, Parks and culture destinations. A place I will definitely return.

From the beautiful room to the relaxing tub and various amentities, Henry's townhouse was an ideal resting place for us as we explored London. The staff was extremely attentive and kind, ensuring our every need was met. The most memorable part was the gorgeous breakfast provided each morning, which offered a broad range of drinks and was prepared to exact taste by the wonderful chef, Larry. Other memorable aspects included the balcony which offered a private seating area, and the beautiful "Henry's hour" which included apertifs and snacks. The kind house manager Anne made us feel so welcome and was very accomadating. When it came time to leave she wished us off and ensured we were taken care of. Nothing but wonderful things to say about Henry's, it made our first visit to London restful and memorable!
