Gringos, stay away! Both the hotel and restaurant staff seemed annoyed with our limited Spanish. We had to request service from the restaurant staff the whole time. The rooms are incredibly overpriced for the quality. We had toilet issues and no water pressure or hot water. They charged for everything, including the use of pillows. Worst hotel we stayed at while traveling in Guatemala!

You need to fumigate for bugs. I was charged more than when I reserved it. Will never go back. staff was cordial.

Absolutely horrific. What a dump. An expensive dump. Not in a good area. Dirty rooms outdated. Then they didn’t charge me correctly. Workers don’t know what they’re doing. Never returning. They charge like I’m at a 5 star resort and looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1970s. Stay away.

My stay in this Hotel was excellent I stood there with my kids we were late for free breakfast. However they did gave breakfast the worker are respectful and good service

The service was horrible the place was not clean at alll everything it’s so expensive and it’s not a 5 star hotel to be so expensive

Satisfactory.... loved the pool! Water was nice & warm. Front Desk Staff on first Night were quite helpful. Nice setting in the middle of town

I won’t be back and don’t recommend this hotel. The room and bathroom are dirty and smelly. It seems too expensive for what it’s really like. It’s ok for a night sleep if you’re in a business travel. Not for a family vacation trip.

We had some issues with the plumbing but the staff was helpful and fixed the problems. Place could have been a little better lighted. There is a lot of road noise with lots of trucks. Puerto Barrios is a port city; noisy, stinky, and smoggy so noise is to be expected. Room came with free breakfast which was excellent and had good coffee free in the restaurant in the morning. I feel the value was good. Staff was very friendly and attentive. It ain't the Taj but I was satisfied.

There was no welcoming feeling at all. The Hotel is advertised to be near Rio Dulce and it is not. When we got there the receptionist and manager were almost upset we were there. We had to ask for extra towels twice before finally getting them, and were charge for a toothbrush. We will for sure not be back. I do have to say the Restaurant was very different. Very friendly personnel and happy to have us. Very different feel that the hotel staff.
