Was very central to everything. Unit was in need of a fresh coat of paint, every wall was marked and damaged. Asked front desk how to get to coles and was told to go outside and walk through a carpark when there was direct lift access from building to the shops.

View over to the beach was great as is the location. The kitchen was tiny and the kettle didn’t work so I had to go down to reception in another building to get another one. The air con/ heating was not working. The booking was made with free parking but it turns out it is free depending on availability. There is not a car park allocated to your apartment so you just cruise around all levels of the car park and hope you find one. If you don’t, you’re helpfully advised there is paid parking nearby. The girls on reception were lovely and any issues were not their fault - just the way Mantra does things apparently. We are locals and were generally disappointed with our 3 nights there.

Reception was closed for the day when we arrived. Checkin process using the phone at front reception was fine however the rules of checking in with id and credit card within certain times was a real pain, as we had organized activities the next morning. The most annoying part was that we specifically booked this place as it had free parking. However each night we got home there was no parking available. We parked behind other cars all lined up against a wall and put a note on the dash explaining why we were parked there and all contact details. woke in the morning to find an aggressive sticker on the car that left damage to my 2week old car! SO ANGRY! No explanation from staff except to say that because their boom gates were broken people were parking in spaces they were not allocated.

The apartment furniture was dirty, a lamp was broken and left on the coffee table. Light fittings were out in the bathroom. We paid for a beach view and got a very partial view from one small verandah.

Chevron Towers are in a great central location and we found the 2 bedroom apartment to be comfortable. The downside was the amenities. There are 3 apartment towers all using the same carousel entrance and reception. Checking in was a nightmare in terms of gaining the keys and moving to the car park. We arrived at 1:50 and weren’t unpacked in our room until 4pm. The car park line up with garage problems was very frustrating. There are also no luggage trolleys. We also found the lifts a problem. Just four lifts in Tower 2 and often only 2 were working. On a Wednesday morning at 9:30, it took 45 minutes for our group of 5 to get downstairs. We had to split up in order to fit in crowded lifts. Trying to get in a lift with a pram at that time was near impossible. The resort pool area is very nice. The kids really enjoyed it, however it was disappointing that during our entire 5 day stay, the indoor pool and spa area were closed. We weren’t expecting this and we would have enjoyed using them in the wet weather. Next time, I would rather stay in a different Mantra hotel without the three towers that clearly can’t cope with the volume of guests.

The room was what was needed ie 2 bed, 1 bath and close to everything. The downside was that soon after entering the room, we found the bathroom sink was blocked and as a result, unusable for our trip. A note was left for the Property Manager advising of the issue upon us leaving.
