Chevron Towers are in a great central location and we found the 2 bedroom apartment to be comfortable. The downside was the amenities. There are 3 apartment towers all using the same carousel entrance and reception. Checking in was a nightmare in terms of gaining the keys and moving to the car park. We arrived at 1:50 and weren’t unpacked in our room until 4pm. The car park line up with garage problems was very frustrating. There are also no luggage trolleys.
We also found the lifts a problem. Just four lifts in Tower 2 and often only 2 were working. On a Wednesday morning at 9:30, it took 45 minutes for our group of 5 to get downstairs. We had to split up in order to fit in crowded lifts. Trying to get in a lift with a pram at that time was near impossible.
The resort pool area is very nice. The kids really enjoyed it, however it was disappointing that during our entire 5 day stay, the indoor pool and spa area were closed. We weren’t expecting this and we would have enjoyed using them in the wet weather.
Next time, I would rather stay in a different Mantra hotel without the three towers that clearly can’t cope with the volume of guests.
