The Tonito Hotel is the ONLY place to even consider staying in Uyuni! The hotel is truly an oasis in the salt desert! Chris and his team are top notch: very accommodating, friendly, helpful & just great people!! The restaurant (Minuteman Pizza) is EXCELLENT for both dinner & breakfast! The owners of the hotel are constantly on hand and are extremely active to ensure all their guests are happy!

Uyuni is dusty little frontier town mainly geared to tourism. While comparatively overpriced with other hotels in La Paz and Puno we stayed in, this hotel is an excellent option in Uyuni. Very clean, good hot shower, very nice atrium lounge area and pizza restaurant (we didn't use). Very good breakfast with home made offerings from owner. Convenient to main square and spot where all the tour companies muster each morning.

The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They provided us the oxi shot, spoon, scissor, and helped us to book the taxi. They also guild us to overcome the altitude sickness. The breakfast is excellent. The fruit are fresh and great to have in the morning. WE WILL COME BACK AGAIN

The management were very accommodating and allowed is to change the dates of our stay to suit our salt flats tour. And looked after our luggage without charge whilst we were on our tour. The WiFi works as good as anywhere else in Bolivia. The showers are hot and the breakfast has a good choice and is plentiful. The restaurant on a night has a good range of pizza and pasta. Plenty choices for the vegetarians.

One thing that should be clear to all travellers staying at this hotel is that payment must be done at check-in and cash only. Not only cash only, but only nice looking bills, if there is a bent corner or rip, they won’t take it. Even though their advertising says English speaking, that’s not true, at check-in the gentlemen spoke no English. They did not clean the room after our first night so don’t expect new towels. The only saving grace is that it is reasonably cheap, centrally located and next to the only decent restaurant in town.

Nice place with character and a good breakfast. A bit rustic in some ways but that is in keeping with the general Uyuni atmosphere. Attached pizza restaurant was slightly expensive, but I think everything in Uyuni is higher-priced than other parts of Bolivia. Recommended.

Second time we stayed at this hotel. Nice hot shower after a 3 days trip to salt flat and potosi. Room was clean, nice bed, friendly staff. Good location, next to a military camp, felt safe, and 5 minutes walk away from the main street. Supposed to be quiet, only that some noises came from atrium the public area. But overall a good stay.

Close to Main Street, walkable, people making noise or movement can easily be overheard from atrium public area. Nice shower. Would be even better if they provide a washing machine for guests to wash their clothes after a trip to salt flats too. Very helpful and friendly staff who always try to help.

Check in was slower than expected but staff was nice, friendly and trying to help. Hotel is perfectly located just about 300m away from Main Street, felt safe, and a military camp is just next to it. Away from noise in the streets, and supposed to be quiet too. Only that there's another big group checked in the same night with us, and some stayed in the atrium area until late and moved out early in the morning. Easy overheard in our room, didn't sleep well. Nice hot but slow shower. Breakfast was alright too.

We stayed there for 1 night and thestaffs at the front desk was really helpful. Location is good. The cleanliness of the room is ok but the washroom was a bit smelly. It was a bit over-priced.

The rooms are dated and had water stains all over the walls. It can get noisy at night bc all of the rooms face out into the foyer. Definitely overpriced for what you get.

The beds had two pillows per person! Absolute luxury when travelling! The shower was hot, the property was quiet. The staff were really helpful at getting us a tour organsied for the Salar. There is a pizza restaurant onsite and they make really tasty pizzas. Breakfast was delicious (pancakes with chocolate sauce and banana!) It was a little overpriced for Bolivian standards, but it is a bit of luxury in a wild area
