This boutique hotel was an unexpected delight. In a nineteenth-century building made comfortable for the 21st century while preserving some of the feel of the past. Staff were warm and helpful. Fantastic breakfast buffet that caters to a wide range of preferences. Friendly advice for first-timers--it's in the walking area of Ystad so don't expect to drive up to the door. Very cheap parking is nearby though.

We had a wonderful stay for my cousin‘s graduation. We were visiting from the United States and England. Fantastic location. Very walkable. We especially enjoyed the smörgåsbord breakfast, hotel decor, and talking with the owners of the hotel. Tack så mycket!

Lovely location, close to transportation and sites. Decor is lovely and there is a nice little patio area to relax in. A nice selection for breakfast. Staff are very friendly and nice.

The room was so tiny and there was virtually no storage space. Also quite warm in admittedly warm weather - the small fan was not adequate. Very limited (paid) parking. BUT our hosts were excellent as was the breakfast and the place was very clean.

We loved the Prins Carl. It is in a great location to explore Ystad. The family owned and operated hotel was so much fun with its whimsical, artistic decor built around the legacy of Prince Carl and his dog. The top floor, three bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of two children, parents and grandparents. The apartment windows and balcony with seating area have stunning views of the harbor and town. It would be great for two or three couples on a weekend getaway. The staff were so nice and clearly love their property. The train station is an easy 3 minute walk away. We had such a great time at Prins Carl!

Great location and breakfast. The rooms could have used some renovation but otherwise a good experience.

Breakfast wa really fantastic, staff helpful, but the room and bed were just too small for us! Would stay again if we could get a room with a bigger bed. We are too used to our king size bed at home! Also was surprised at how easily the sound of local night scene seemed to carry but I am a light sleeper.

Familiedrevet hotel med virkelig god stemning.

Indtjekning var fin. God beliggenhed. Lejligheden var meget slidt og der var en meget indtrængende lugt. Et af de tre rum var nærmest umuligt at være i på grund af lugten. Møbler var slidte. Morgenmad starter først 7.30, så vi kunne ikke nå at spise inden vi skulle med færgen 8.30. Den burde starte fra kl. 7.

Vi råkade beställa ett väldigt litet rum så man kan tänka på att det finns olika typer av rum när man bokar! Allt är annars toppen! Mysigt hotell med en altan alla kan sitta på. En underbar frukostbuffe och all personal är supertrevlig och gör att man känner sig väldigt välkommen☺️

Trevlig och tillmötesgående personal som löste problemet när det uppstod en felbokning via Hotels.com. Bra frukost. Lungt och tyst. Bra läge, nära till stortorget och fina promenadgator. Nära till parkeringar.

Rent och trevligt, centralt i Ystad. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsamma.
