Good for money

We are frequent travelers and we were so impressed with every aspect of this property. The old world ambience was unbelievable. Dinner and breakfast were very good and reasonable price. Gas log fires were very inviting on coldest day of the year.

Love this hotel. Great location, great pub but the motel needs a bit of an update. Would definitely stay in the hotel rooms next time not the motel.

This place is just awesome, such a beautiful building, some of the staff seemed a bit lacking experience but overall great place and good service.

Great location with amazing views of the beach, the room was a good size and clean, staff were all friendly and helpful. Restaurants were all within complex from breakfast to dinner or if you just wanted to sit and have a drink looking at the beautiful view and then walk back to your room. Would definitely stay there again.

Lots of character. Staff were excellent. Location lovely. Menu restricted for choice. A little expensive for what you receive. Room clean. Cold showers for the three days we stayed. Were told when leaving, we should have run the water for 15 minutes beforehand. What a waste of water.

Not really, but good enough. The stairs were challenging at 72 and 75 yo. View was lovely. If we come again might go on first floor. Meal in restaurant was lovely.

We arrived really late from airport to a motel that was locked/closed at the front door. We managed to call the front desk and were directed to their gaming room for check-in. We do know this is an older motel. It is our fault that we did not know there is no lift. The bed was decent comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfasts on both mornings which was at the bar areas, instead of the restaurant. I can deal with an older motel but the room itself - The insides of closet was dusty and the kettle has seen better days. The kettle was 1/2 full with water when I checked on it. No, I never use hotels' kettles but I was just curious!

Room cleaning was fabulous every day Lovely location for pier Lovely decor and beach / sunset views from the room Staff very friendly Excellent restaurant and bar food We stayed late in bar only 10 pm and had to leave the building (previously we just went straight onto the staircase to get to our room) told to enter again but failed to get in only to end back at the bar The bar staff were very helpful We were on the top floor which had 4 very long flights of stairs ( high ceilings) being a heritage hotel there were no lifts We managed but I could imagine many would struggle Very lovely young man carried our bags up without even breaking a sweat 😅 Coming from England for 6 weeks our bags were very heavy!!

The majestic balcony and staircase and generally the history of the place was worth the slightly overpriced heritage room.
