The booked room was unavailable due to residual aroma after pest extermination. The electrics in the 2 rooms were unsafe, numerous power boards and loose power switches. One TV was unplugged from numerous connections from a power board under the bed and the other TV could only receive 2 channels. At 0715 a high pitched squeal occurred when the adjoining unit’s shower was being used. A dripping tap from the nearby en suite was a nuisance. 2 night’s stay was not enjoyable.

Horror and concern regarding our stay at The Globe Inn, Gardeners Cottage, Yass. My partner and I booked and stayed on Tuesday 30th December 2026. We were so upset and disappointed that we wanted to leave immediately. We were simply horrified at the dreadful state and presentation of the room! The room was truly filthy, and it appears no thorough cleaning had been done for a long time. The filthy toilet (hanging off the wall) had gunk, dirt and debris sitting on top of the old silicone. The filth, cobwebs, dirt and dead blow flies behind the bed was truly remarkable! There were rat droppings on the floor near the entrance to the toilet area, along with an old hair pin in between the brick floor cracks. Many light bulbs didn't work nor did the bedside clock. Cobwebs everywhere, the fireplace had not been vacuumed for years. We struggled to believe anyone could seriously feel this was an acceptable state to allow anyone to stay here! We took a number of photographs highlighting the state of the room which were supplied to the venue! We have emailed twice and also called seeking a response. We initially requested a refund but have so far had NO RESPONSE. To make matters even WORSE, we now realise that they have charged us TWICE ... beyond disappointed and simply unbelievable.

The only complaint about the room was that the skylight blind cord was broken so we couldn't shut out the morning light. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot and good preasure. Otherwise no complaints. A beautiful old building. We would definately stay again.

The Globe Inn is a beautiful historic building. Our room was gorgeous with everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on the balconyin in the evening and morning. Would recommend staying here. Hope to come back someday.

Beautiful historic building, a piece of history well restored and kept. Lovely amenities, tea coffee biscuits on arrival waiting in the room and drawing room. This was a nice touch after a long drive. Historic fittings, luxury linens, beautiful verandah. Friendly caring host. Amazing drawing room with lounges and tables and fire, would be very warm and fun in winter. No longer serves breakfast it is called an Inn. Some websites incorrectly still refer to BnB, however plenty of cafes to choose from round corner in the Main Street. I’d recommend newly renovated soldiers club for delicious dinner.

Authentic Victorian style hotel, right in the middle of Yass but very quiet. Very private. Now has central air-conditioning which is great for winter.

Nice accommodation except I was freezing overnight and in the morning. I think the heating was turned off. Not sure if this is usual practice but it made the night uncomfortable. Other than that, nice place

A trip down memory lane for us, The Globe Inn is a wonderfully renovated B&B right in the heart of town. Don't miss the opportunity to go to Yazz Bar around the corner.

Very old building, very steep stairs, shallow tread on them. We would not have booked it if we had known. The proprietor was, however, very helpful and carried our cases up, and down again in the morning. It was expensive ($200) for what it was. We had trouble booking somewhere for the Sat.night but expected for that price it would have had some touches of luxury to compensate. The room was also quite small but had a high ceiling which helped. When we first arrived my husband said "I hope I don't get claustrophobia." It had tea and coffee making in the room and there was a separate shared sitting area,(also with kettle, tea, coffee but no microwave ) and access to a balcony. We were in Room 5. The mattress was thin and hard. It needs replacing. I don't normally give bad reviews (usually say nothing) but felt in this case should describe it as it is.

Located in 1870s inn. Delightful historical building. Very disappointing that website had not been updated to reflect 'the current' situation: * A "B&B" that no longer offers the breakfast !! (Informed about this after paying, and enquiring about it...)* Foxtel password provided in room but there is NO Foxtel available (I assume Foxtel = advertised "digital channels" ! * The "DVD player" was non-existent ! * No access information was provided for the "free Wi-Fi" * "Free self parking on site" means parking out-the-front, on the street.
