Not so clean. Was confused by the high reviews. We stayed overnight only but upon inspecting the room, it was dusty behind the bed and the lamps had a layer of dust on them. Makes me wonder if they ever vacuum the place. The floor was slippery. There were mouse droppings in the cabinets where the utensils are stored. Some hairs on the floor and limescale in the bathtub. Air conditioning barely cooled the room even when the temperature was cranked down. It was uncomfortable and hard to sleep at all staying here. On the upside, the manager was accommodating enough to give us instructions when we called to inform them that we couldn’t check-in within the check-in time frame.

This was the smallest room we experienced from a budget motel on our 6 day trip by car from Ottawa to Vancouver. The bathroom (4 piece) was cramped. One reason I have given it a poor rating is there was a very noticeable bad smell like mildew or something of the sort, in the bedroom, although the place was very clean, the bed comfy and it contained the requisite fridge, freezer, coffee maker and bedside tables etc. But the price was at least 1/3 again more expensive than the average price for the other motels we stayed at. So the size of the room and bathroom, the bad odour and the price all determined for me the rating. Incidentally, there was a taco place (but offering much more) about 5 minutes up the road to Prince George (#97) which felt as if we were dropped into a Mexican cantina in Mexico, and the food was good and offered generous toppings of whatever was ordered. Definitely worth a visit. Speak Spanish if you know how! Finally, if you can drive down highway 99 instead of 1 to get to your next stop do so, it is spectacular beyond belief but you can't be rushed as the road is winding, but the scenery encourages a very leisurely pace. The day we went down there was little traffic. The Fraser River Canyon was a highlight of our drive from Ottawa to Vancouver, all Canada side. It also gets you into Vancouver from the north side. Very convenient for catching the Horshoe Bay Ferry to Vancouver Island.

Stopped last minute for overnight break from driving. Room was clean and great location. Great additions with cookies and the vintage looking mini fridge, highly recommend this place.

The renovations have made the motel charming. We were grateful for the air-conditioning. The beds were comfortable, the linens were lovely and the room was quiet.

The room was well organized, clean and comfortable bed. Nothing like sitting outside with a great cup of coffee in the morning. The staff were very welcoming and quick check in. Definitely will stay again.

This was a really nice little motel. The grounds were nicely kept, the rooms were very clean and really cute, beds were comfy, and I loved the fact that he had large bottle of shampoo, etc rather than those small ones that are terrible for the environment. The place had more of an Airbnb feel than a motel. The only challenge was upon checking out, my co-worker and I needed a receipt for the stay, and we could not reach the manager. We rang the doorbell several times, with no response, so we had to leave without the paperwork. Overall though, great stay.

Clean room. Bathrooms are a bit tight, but everything is there. Bed was a bit squishy for our liking but was OK. These things were just preferences. Overall good stay.

Michael was extremely cooperative and waited almost 2 hours over his shift for our late arrival. He guided us through the check in process smoothly like a breeze. We were surprised by the upkeep of the room and property overall. Recommended highly if you want a stay in Cache Creek BC.
