Go to this place. Only if you need a bed to sleep, there are no other amenities. The space is cramped. It is a very small room. The photos does not do it justice. The washroom is Sab Paar. There is no proper shower. Hot water takes forever and then in the middle of a bath it was just turned to freezing and all of a sudden. It’s boiling hot. There is a mouldy smell overall good property, but it’s not worth the experience.

If you are traveling for history and historic beauty this is the place, but like a very old Jaguar, even when restored is going to be a bit...unreliable. The hot water, once you turned on all the taps to get it, lasted three minutes...if you are old or disabled, the stairs are a challenge, the AC struggles to keep the room cool and this is when we are not in a heat wave...no refrigerator to keep your food cool, either. It is a beautiful hotel, but not a practical place...like an old Jaguar.

This isn't like staying at any regular hotel. Didn't see staff at all, in our 5 day stay it was like we had the entire place to ourselves. This was our 2nd time there and we were very pleased with the room and the quiet atmosphere. Very quaint inn and worth a few inconveniences (stairs, no room or maid service) for the unique experience. The rooms are elegant and very cozy. There is a shared kitchen on the 3rd floor, and a full size fridge, microwave and coffee maker. All in all, if you're looking for a unique stay, this is an excellent choice.

After booking with Expedia , we arrived from out of town to locked doors and a sign indicating the Inn was closed the night we had booked. Tried telephoning and had to leave a message.

The Clocktower Inn looked beautiful in the advertisement and definitely has a quaint boutique charm. The location is excellent, right in the town of Strathmore, with a restaurant conveniently downstairs. That said, the inn is a little antiquated. When I checked in, there were no staff available other than the restaurant hosts. Unfortunately, my room was on the third floor, which made carrying heavy suitcases quite difficult. The room itself had only a very small frosted window that you couldn’t really see out of, and there was a desk but no chair. The TV cables were hanging visibly below the wall-mounted television, which made the room feel unfinished. The biggest issue was the hot water. I could only get hot water for about a minute and a half at a time while trying to fill the bathtub, so I had to keep turning the water on and off repeatedly. Overall, if you enjoy boutique-style inns, want to stay somewhere quaint and centrally located, and don’t have mobility issues or a lot of luggage, you would probably enjoy your stay. However, I would avoid booking the Prince of Wales room and would strongly recommend asking which rooms have proper windows before reserving.

The room was clean and the staff at check-in was great. There was free parking in close proximity and a common kitchen for quick breakfast or reheating food.
