The resort is a unique place, full of rustic charm but it definitely needs some renovation. The staff was very friendly and most accommodating when we asked to move our room to a different building.

Very pleasant experience. The staff was generous to extend our checkout time and gave us access key to use the amenities on the resort.

It was an amazing stay quite. Beautiful views friendly people. We will be back.

For an older crowd this resort is perfect, it's private and quiet. The private beach access is beautiful and allows for a relaxing getaway. The amenities are a bit dated and the TV didn't work great (but mostly didn't matter since we were on vacation to get outside, it's just when you want some down time or when the weather was bad it had limited channels and the reception cut in and out). The indoor pool is nice but the hot tub filter wasn't working the first night we were there so the water was dirty and the next day it was drained to empty (good it was being cleaned but unfortunately unusable). The on-site restaurant pub was great but a little pricey. Overall fairly good value and a nice place to stay if you don't want to hang with the twenty-something beach crowd. Golf course looked nice for a small 9 hole executive course. The grounds were pretty and lots of places to just sit and relax.

Staff is great and helpful at this resort. Pool, hot tub, and sauna are well maintained.

Had a nice stay with my kids. The pool and beach was amazing. If you are not a golfer, there is not much else to do in the resort. The food/ snacks options are limited. We didn’t eat at the restaurant in resort, I found it was pricey to have to pay for two kids who are extremely picky and will only end up eating fries. So we just ordered from outside. There is a Tim Hortons+Pizza Hut not too far away. Parking was available in the resort. We went during the Victoria day long weekend and I found it was busy with a lot of younger crowd. It did get loud at night, I am glad I had a noise machine on so the kids didn’t wake up. I also didn’t appreciate the fact that there was no microwave in the room but guests could rent it for $25 extra, so if you have kids and need to warm their food/ milk, be mindful of that. I find the room price was also quite expensive for a standard 2 queens bedroom. However, it was a nice relaxing stay for us overall. I enjoyed the scenic drive a lot.

Rooms very pretty clean by there has just been a conference so a few things found under dining tables that should have been cleaned. Turkey bacon was disgusting at Sunday breakfast they used up all other bacon etc. More organization for supplies needed when having conferences

This was the perfect getaway randomly found it and me and my husband are making it our go to every year private beach,golfing,pub,pool,hot tub, hammocks. Also quick walk down the beach to the town which was full of food desserts and shopping. So much fun.

Loved staying at Oakwood

Stayed here for the Labour Day long weekend. I knew full well that I'd have more to do there had I golfed. Facilities are good, as well as the room. The bed was very comfortable. One complaint about the room is that the balcony looked out onto an embankment of trees blocking much of the view of the course. The breakfast and lunch/dinner options were good, but pricey. The dinners were more worth it at Dave's Pub, but I only had the breakfast buffet once as the cost dodn't justify the selection. The major complaint I have with Dave's Pub was the service. The first meal had decent service, but not the second one. It felt I was being hurried up a little bit. Lastly, the private beach was good. The sand was soft and the water was cold, but shallow. Overall, good, but not great. If I stay again, I'd eat my meals elsewhere.

For a reservation of 4, you find 2 towels only. As well the paper tissue was out, toilet paper too. Not impressed at all and waiting time at reception is terrible. Probably because I catched a group of people checking and it was hours waiting.
