Large brown stain in ceiling from water leaking (at least i hope it is water) from room above. Asked the the room to be freshly cleaned because there was a layer of dust on everything, but it didn't happen. Asked to change rooms to a cleaner room but that didn't happen. Stains on the bathroom ceiling. Just overall not clean feeling. Asked for extra towels and a blanket that didn't happen, had to ask again. Furnace is very loud, bring ear plugs. Not sound dampened - can hear movement above and beside the room.

Staff were nice rooms are pretty run down, poorly done repairs, dirty tub comfy ish beds. Very loud at night.

Adding was wrinkled. Bathroom had dripping yellow that showed it was smoked in for a long time previously. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke and it got worse after the shower was used. Steam from the shower set off the smoke detector because the bathroom fan didn’t work. There were sketchy people coming in and out and a guy sitting outside on a lawn chair drinking alcohol. Hotel has gone very downhill from the last time I stayed there 15yrs ago. Would rate this a zero if they let me! Asked to get my money back so I could stay somewhere else and they just said their manager wasn’t there so they couldn’t and Expedia wasn’t able to help either after an hour on the chat and phone with them!

The room was fine - it was clean and newly renovated, as advertised. But our first night there the guests in the room below us partied all night. They were talking and laughing so loud that we didn’t sleep at all. Despite my repeated requests to the night manager to get them to stop (first at 1:30 am and again at 4 am), they carried on until dawn. The following morning I asked the day manager for some recompense and although he apologized, there was no consequence for the partiers and no compensation to me. On my final morning I again explained to the manager that our first night was a waste and he offered a 20% discount on my stay. That was not what I was hoping for, but I agreed. When he put the refund back on my card it showed only a 10% discount. I told him I had agreed to 20% and he apologized saying that the discount could only be 10%. I am an innkeeper myself and would have given my guests a free night.

The room and staff were fine. I asked for an extra blanket and got it. I got an early check in at a dead time. The hot tub and pool were great. I wish there was something to eat. And there's no pub as the Expedia.ca pics suggest. There was a lot of noise in the hallway early on Jan 1. There are some food options in a few blocks. It satisfied. I'd consider it another time.

Staff were courteous, and the room was spotless. We really enjoyed the semi-outdoor pool and hot tub.

Good location, good bed and overall it was fair value for our one night stay.

This place is way more run-down than it appears in the photos. If you are sensitive to air fresheners, this is not the spot for you.
