Amazing place

Stettlen is in a good location for public transport. The train station is 2 minutes walk away and has a direct link to Bern. This is why we chose this hotel. There is a large car park behind the hotel. Food was good and breakfast plentiful.

This hotel SHOULD BE REMOVED from Expedia. We arrived there at 1030 PM on a taxi, the doors were locked, the lights were off and there was no one to be found for check in. We looked around the property and it was SKETCHY AND SCARY. We knocked at the doors of the hotel and adjacent restaurant and pressed the door bell multiple times! Never received an answer. We called the hotel phone number but to no avail. We called Expedia but no one answered. Thankfully our Taxi driver who was a local waited with us and tried to reach out to other locals. In the end we ended up having to find a rather expensive last minute booking at another hotel. We ended up spending more money on taxi to go there! And guess what EXPEDIA takes no responsibility and their customer service agents find that we “are not willing to understand”. After having used their platform for numerous bookings, I have my doubts now. I can say that also after they didn’t give me my booking points in 2016 .. but I don’t want to dilute. ANYWAYS, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. SAVE YOURSELF SOME AGONY.

Basic hotel amenities. Not far from Bern center, so if one has a car, it is pretty convenient. Free car parking is helpful. It is not exactly a family oriented tourist hotel nor a fully functional business hotel. Its kind of in-between. Not much to complain about, nor there is any facility to be excited about.

Noisy room, broken lights and tiny bathroom, slow WiFi My family had bad experience with this hotel.

The hotel was definitely a budget hotel with very little frills. The room key situation was very unsafe. You have one key which is needed to lock and unlock the room door. The door cannot be unlocked from inside the room. The room key must get exchanged to get the key to open the hotel door. So, a sleeping child or spouse has to get locked in a room or it goes unlocked in order for the other family to get key to get in or out of hotel.

Nice area and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple and adequate. Wifi as just okay. Plenty of parking on site. The room was comfortable but warm. A fan would have been helpful.

Rooms and hotel carpet were a bit dusty. Lot of mosquitoes, so can't open windows for ventilation, hence suffocating inside the room. Hotel staff was good, but just ok breakfast, not many options. Neighborhood also not that great.

Felt like being locked in. Reception closed, had to go to detached restaurant for anything. Having said that the staff wet lovely and the food was excellent. Our main problem was that it was really hot when we were there and as there was no air-con, we had to have the windows open and as our room was right next to a MAIN road the noise from traffic was tremendous throughout the night.

Very cozy hotel with nice staff (as always in this region). Had a couple of beers outside with the other guests. Nothing to do nearby so would suggest to get here at the end of a day's trip. Clean and tidy room.

Overall it was okay. Quite a bit far from Bern and pretty rural. THere was just one or two places open to eat after 8 pm. There was no a/c or fan in the room. The front desk person went out of the way to find extra pillow and sheets. It was too hot for a duvat! Good breakfast .

Our stay was lovely, nice staff. Lots of parking and it was quiet The breakfast was average.

Good accommodation, but noisy room, which resulted in a bad sleep. Too expansive, in rapport with the service and the room quality.

We stayed one night. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was filling with a variety of options.

We stayed in hotel for 2 days, during our car trip through Switzerland.

This is our third stay at the Hotel Linde, whilst visiting our son who lives one stop down the line . It is a fairly basic but reasonable value hotel for this part of the world. There has been some refurbishment since our first visit and although our room was small it was fine for a short stay and we had a good sized bathroom with excellent newly fitted shower. Breakfast is buffet style with the usual continental breakfast range. Breakfast service has improved since we first visited and plates were regularly topped up even for later arriving clients. We did not eat there in the evening so can't comment on the restaurant. The hotel has a local feel about it which we like, and the station just down the road gives easy and frequent access to Bern.

Easy access from Stettlen railway station. Good food. Nice, friendly staff. Relaxed and quiet with free wi-fi.

15 minute train ride from Bern. Very quiet at night. Room had two beds that had to be shoved together. Good breakfast.

Very pleasant, small village but close to Bern and also not far from Geneva or Alps. Quite clean - small hotel with pub underneath. Smell of smoking felt. Interesting key system for doors - not helpful when more than one person in the room. Close to railway station to get to Bern

Not the greatest hotel but very good value for money and very good staff.
