It appeared we were the only guest there and had the property to ourselves which was a little bit weird. But the morning breakfast was excellent!

Inn keeper was very unpleasant when we checked in and checked out. Tried to charge us for a discount train ticket upon checkout which we didn’t want and he didn’t offer at check-in.

We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again.

Property was quaint. Vacationers beware no AC, no screens on windows. Cute place to stay but accommodations are not for the fancy. 4 person room, extra small bathroom. Staff was very kind, breakfast was ok.

The staff was pretty much non existing. The property is clean and comfortable.

The hotel is near the train station. Staff are accommodating. Their breakfast especially the bread is freshly baked. We recommend the place and we'll surely come back. Kudos to the staff

Lovely stay

Small town, but very close to many beautiful sites.

It is walking distance from railway station and easy connectivity. croissants were the best. Pasta is yummy. Coffee is good. View out the room was awesome. We can see a river mountains and snow clad mountain if we step out of the room.

The most joyful station in my trip all over Europe. Every spot is beautiful, the region, the landscape, the lovely people, the hotel and it’s classical nature made it more attractive. It’s like the films. The manager is lovely and so helpful, so are all other staff members. Although my check-in was delayed until 4:00 pm but That’s nothing. I would come again. Strongly recommended

Beautiful place to stay. Nice mountains view from the window. Old building and don’t have a AC.

Rooms are old and dormitory style. No A/C. The rooms were hot in August and smelled musty. Difficult sleeping. The overall experience was spartan. The one bright spot was the free breakfast which was continental style and very good. For someone looking for a place to flop it would do. We wouldn’t stay there again too many better option for the price.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. The room was clean and the staff was hospitable. The furnishings and property are dated, but we found that this added to the charm. We opened the windows in our room and allowed the air to fill the space. We were absolutely delighted at the views from our room. We had several meals at the restaurant and the food was always good. Thank you, Ernst for the memorable stay.

Ma chambre 'single' était très petite et très vintage, mais propre et avec vue sur la rivière. Les prix sont corrects au restaurant et j'ai bien mangé.

The hotel has ample free parking.

we got the big family room, maybe the rest of the rooms are different. actually looks like a converted store with bedrooms with display windows to the street, which can get quite noisy, even from early morning. no wi-fi in room, only closer to main hotel. big long dining table in kitchen. the best is the shower - a see through modern shower in the middle of the hall...feels like being in open camp only warm inside

Very welcoming had a nice meal and great breakfast, quiet, free parking and good internet!

Great Hotel right in the center of the village. Very friendly staff!! Food was amazing. I sincerely enjoyed my stay and hope to return on my next visit.
