Very convenient to downtown Locarno. Staff very helpful! Breakfast excellent! Parking was tough! Very tight access and spaces. Laundry turned out to be one washer and one dryer in the basement. We had chosen the hotel specifically to be able to catch up on laundry. We thought there was a washer/dryer in each unit. It worked out ok, but we were lucky, as this turns out to be a tour hotel with many large groups. We will stay again, just understand the constraints better.

We had a wonderful five-day stay at this property. Excellent lakefront location close to town center, train station, Lido, and more. Large, clean rooms, underground parking/bike storage, on-site laundry, pool, delicious breakfast, and a very friendly and helpful staff. Andrea at the front desk is delightful. Would definitely stay here again.

The room we had was sold as a Superior room, however the room was a bit dated but the view onto the lake made up for this. Location was superb, breakfast was good every morning and the pool was nice (although a bit cold for the kids in May) all in all a good trip and would probably stay here again

The location of the hotel is amazing. Very nice view and centrally located. The hotel staff was also very welcoming. I think the hotel is good value for money. I would stay there again.

Al Lago is in a great location 5 mins from the centre of Locarno and an easy walk round the bay to the lido located on the lake. Staff were very friendly with excellent relaxed and informative check in. Breakfast was first class with a good variety and excellent staff on hand who provided a first class service. Our room was front facing onto the lake and marina which was a stunning view. Great pool at rear of premises. Our room had cooking facilities and was adequate without being to fancy. One point for improvement was the mattresses. Overall a great place to stay, great staff and excellent location with a tasty breakfast thrown in.

Excellent stay. The location is fantastic right next to the lake and amenities. Kids really enjoyed the pool too. It is right next to local tennis courts so you can carry your own kit to play if you want to. The management was very courteous and helpful going all the way in making sure we had a great time including providing us local information and bicycles to explore the lakeside on our own.

Great location. Excellent front office staff. 10-15 minute walk to the train station or center of town. 5 min walk to take the bus to Ascona. The lake front walk area is right across the street. Breakfast was excellent. Breakfast only opens at 8 am which is difficult if you are traveling earlier but you can order an early breakfast for a charge. Rooms are large and spacious with an operating kitchen. Balcony easily fit four people with a view of the lake.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir hatten ein grosses Zimmer mit seitlichem Seeblick. Ein und Ausfahrt ins Parkhaus etwas eng.

Für unseren Kurzaufenthalt hat es gut gepasst!!

Schönes Hotel an ruhiger und zentrumsnaher Lage. Sehr schöner Pool. Leider waren keine Parkplätze vorhanden und der Empfang konnte auch nicht wirklich weiterhelfen. Als Tipp: Mit einer Bestätigung des Hotelaufenthaltes kann man im Parkhaus "Centro" vergünstigt parkieren (Ticket am Europcar-Schalter bei der Einfahrt im U1 tauschen). Leider wusste das Hotel nichts von dieser Möglichkeit.
