This place is a gem! The wind can be a bit jarring but the panoramic veranda was incredible, the owner is a very sweet man and the decor was super cool :) take the funicular if you don't want to climb a million stairs!

Casa Gerrari 406 is an eclectic small old hotel with mucho character and charm. And the price is extremely reasonable. Rooms are on the small side but everything works and the service from Marco and his staff make you feel like a guest and friend. Parking is street only, and the streets are narrow and steep, so plan accordingly. There are several small museums within short walking distance, and the old downtown, more museums, and walking tour guides are within longer walking distance. Marco also recommended several very good restaurants to us within easy walking distance.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. We really appreciate it. Your place is amazing and we really enjoyed our time here. Really great breakfast, the roof top terrace was our favourite spot to watch the sunsets. Very walkable location, close to restaurants and Cerro Allegre. Bed was warm and comfortable, and plenty of hot water for the shower. We felt safe the entire time, and highly recommend this hotel. Thanks again!

Location is up at a big hill from where the action is. Breakfast was very good. Room was small. Had a terrorist with an amazing view. Bakery just a couple blocks away. Lovely murals in the area.

Marco's guidance was excellent. Very nice people. It is a small hotel, basic and clean. Very close to the La Sabastiana and one of the city escalator.

This a great hostal with spacious, comfortable rooms and a very friendly and helpful staff. There is also a large terrace with a wonderful view over the city and harbour. The breakfast is the best I've had so far on this trip and the wifi works well. It's a great place to spend a few days in Valparaiso.

I enjoyed my stay here. The family who run the hotel were really nice, kind & helpful. The hotel was a bit old, but for the price it was good. My bed was nice & comfy. And the view from the terrace was very nice, particularly at sunset. I would recommend it, just don't expect a 5 star hotel.

The hotel was clean but the rooms were fairly small - not surprising in this area. We opted to walk up the hill to the hotel with our backpacks so the journey was pretty tiring, but the view from the top was great! The service was good as well. The best part of this hotel is the rooftop terrace overlooking the city and the ocean. It's a great place to relax in the afternoon/evenings.

Good location with a panoramic view over the city. AMAZING breakfast and very picturesque accommodation. Staff friendly, secure parking in a tiny garage a short walk from hotel. Only gripe was lack of door to en-suite bathroom.

Nice room. Everything worked. Very close to the sebastian. The area has a very 'local feel', close to bars and shops. People should probably bear in bind that it's at the top a hill (Valparaíso mostly consists of hills). Close to the town. Wonderful views (like much of valparaiso). Only downside is that the wifi is a little weak in the rooms.

El hotel es de estilo rústico, es una casa antigua tradicional de Valparaíso, casi un museo de antigüedades. Lo cual tiene un gran encanto si sabes observarlo. Lo mejor es la atención y la plática de Marco. La ubicación es buena y en la terraza la vista al mar es increíble.

Muy buena estancia , excelente atención del propietario , siempre atento y amable y con una excelente plática nos hizo sentir como en casa
