Check in was easy and accommodated our slightly early arrival

The property is in the central location (Aveneda) and 15 minute drive to the tallest building in Latin America. It's comfortable for the location and price.

The apartment itself was clean. Only thing lacking is heat but they gave us a space heater which was quite effective. A couple of things to watch out for though: 1. the guy at the front desk when we checked in does not speak English and was also not very nice when we tried to check in at 11 am - he kept insisting we come back at 2 pm even though our room turned out to be available 2. the check in process was pretty shady - the confirmation email Acero sends clearly stated that foreigners staying less than 60 days did not need to pay 19% VAT and foreigners who paid in foreign currency did not need to pay the VAT. However, when we checked in, we were told that 1) the email was wrong and that even if staying less than 60 days, we still needed to pay the VAT (we were only staying for one night), 2) that they would only take foreign cash because apparently their credit card machine only does Chilean currency, and 3) he entered an inflated exchange rate when doing the calculations (638 Chilean pesos per USD instead of the official rate of 628 Chilean pesos per USD at the time). Our original quoted rate of $48 all of a sudden ballooned into $57 for the night

Perfect place for a getaway to Santiago. Clean, modern, very complete.

This apartment is centrally located with shops and restaurants nearby and about 15 minutes walking from the metro. The room is very clean and in great condition. I highly recommend this apartment hotel to anyone who wishes to have a great vacation in Chile.

Acero Apartment is centrally located with shops and restaurants nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Acero Apartment to the Metro. The room is clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. I definitely will come back to this apartment.

The place is centrally located. The neighborhood isn't the prettiest but felt very safe. Great little local bakery next door and other stores where you can get anything you need. The place was very clean. The bathroom needs some regrouting around the tub.

Accomodations were good, clean (a bit of mold in shower). Pool was closed on arrival, sent a message to Acero, no response. When it came time to pay, they were charging 19% tax. I told them foreigners don't pay the tax but they said that the credit company charges it so i would have to pay unless i paid cash.i refused and they lowered the amount with no tax. Also, they had an inflated exchange rate...be careful! Too bad since it's a decent apt.

very comfy apartments

We had a great experience in this apartment. It is not really a hotel, there is no room service, but we already knew that. It's an apartment all for yourself, with all the necessary accommodations, nice bed, good appliances. The apartment is well located a few blocks from the center of Santiago. There's a parking space in case you rent a car or for any friend or family visiting. I loved my stay there.

Nice Apartments In a good location shopping mall grocery stores and restaurants walking distance.The hotel was very clean and maintenance were kept up on it very good.Only problem I had was with the manager he was not professional.

Nice modern apartment, but is badly in need of deep clean. Unfortunately no cooking basics provided like oil, salt or pepper. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was OK. Swimming pool area nice. We found a cheaper apartment around the corner which we preferred, but it was smaller inside. Quite close to city centre, but not a lot in the immediate area.

The location is walking distance from public transportation - there are apartments closer to the main blvd for the same price. The place was comfortable. Clean towels were provided and the TV, internet, cable were decent. Communication with owner was ok - they were attentive but not overly friendly. The fridge was tiny, and the kitchen had low quality and basic supplies - it seemed like the bare minimum was spent. We had a complaint about the water boiler, and the owner brought us a different one the next day. Not dirty, but not particularly clean, the carpets seemed a dingy, but the bathroom was clean. Overall, for the price, not horrible. We visit Santiago frequently and this was our impression

Good stay in downtown Santiago, it's located about a 15 minute walk from downtown center the apartment is in walking distance to stores and restaurants. Rooms were decent in size with big comfy beds and had adequate amenities. If you need a parking spot contact the owner and you get to park in the underground garage.

A fantastic apartment 15mins walk from Plaza De Armas

We had a pleasant stay here. Coming from Australia without Spanish background, it is awesomely difficult to communicate with the receptionists who can't speak any English. Have to contact the owner direct by phone to sort out problem. Even though a jug is provided but it would be nice if tea and coffee are provided

10 minute walk to the central part easy access to the metro. Booking in is a problem as the apartments have no one on duty at reception so they have to call and you have to wait. Payment was easy as the manager comes round when you check out. Often long wait for lift and no left luggage option. This place is a very good base for a stay in Santiago.
