My family with teens shared two rooms. The teens, and of course my husband and I, were impressed with the atmosphere and old Quebec feel. It was a great location with very helpful and welcoming staff. The bartender was great. One shower was not built for 6’4 but the other was just fine. Would highly recommend if you’re ok with stairs!

We have stayed at the Auberge Place d’Armes twice now and would definitely return. It’s a beautiful historic property in Old Quebec close to the Chateau Frontenac and lots of amazing restaurants and things to do. The room was clean and unique, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There’s no parking on site but there’s some about four minutes away at Quebec City Hall. I highly recommend the Auberge Place d’Armes for anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Old Quebec!

Auberge Place D'Armes was a delight in every way. Absolutely charming room, computable bed, brilliant location and the best welcoming staff ever. We loved every minute of our stay - just wish it could have been longer. Charles, Sandrine and the sole staff made us feel at home from the moment we walked in.

Clean room. Very close to all shops and tours. Very convenient. Great breakfast and restaurant.

Room was good but the bed was a little too firm for our liking. Tried the breakfast, it was good.

This was our first time staying at Auberge Place D’ Armes. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Charles. The manager, he greeted us with a big smile. Offered to bring our bags in. Also offered to come with us to the parking lot at the Hotel De Vilie; he wanted to ensure that we parked in the best place with the shortest, walk back to the auberge. All the stuff was extremely friendly and helpful, but Charles went above and beyond. Even asked what time you were leaving the next day and offered to bring car but more than that wanted to say goodbye. We will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is right In the heart of old town Quebec city, It also has a restaurant at which we were repeat customers -- very convenient. The room had been thoughtfully updated. Highly recommended.

Based on the description in the Expedia app, I was fully prepared to climb stairs to the room. However, I didn't expect 52 steps up (44 were in a somewhat antique staircase with a few uneven steps). After we found the back staircase, that, I believe, the staff use, we were much more comfortable going up and down. The air conditioning is a mini split, which had trouble keeping up. The bathroom had windows into the bedroom, which was 'cozy'. The good stuff: the bed was comfortable, looking out onto Rue Sainte-Anne and the artisan marketplace was authentically French, and the Nespresso coffee pods were delicious.

This location is close to everything, walking distance. Restaurants and boutiques are steps away. The only downfall of this hotel he has no elevators. Has lots and lots of stairs. But then again it is an older hotel.

We stayed here in our east coast road trip to explore Quebec city for two nights. It was very quaint boutique hotel which had a lovely atmosphere. It was very quiet as well. There were restaurants all around and the hotel was a few steps from the Dufferin terrace and Chateau Frontenac. We really liked how conveniently located it was. There is also a restaurant in the hotel which we got a discount for. There’s no parking given the historic location but there is a building a few minutes away which had very affordable parking. Highly recommend!

This is a great hotel in the Old City and convenient to just about everything you want to see. The rooms are lovely and each is unique. This is a very historical building. Therefore there is no elevator, the stairs are steep and there is no one to help with luggage up the stairs. The onsite restaurant is very good (try the crepes for breakfast). We love this hotel and have stayed five or six times over the last 15 years. But, with a bad knee and our age, we probably won’t manage again. There are no ground floor rooms. But, it truly is lovely!

The concierge Sandine was amazing, and the accommodations were cozy and had character. Very pleasant.

Concierge = Excellent Partner Restaurant = Only had breakfast, twice, but it was incredible! Late evening beverages excellent as well. Room (Loft) = Very convenient for family of 4. Concierge even added a cot of sorts for our youngest so kids could sleep separately. Beds were comfy, but could have used a topper (to be fair, we didn't ask). Linens very comfy. A few small maintenance items were mentioned to the front desk. Luggage = Arrived early after cruise. Concierge stored luggage all day, then had it taken to room (3rd floor) before we got back! No elevator, but that's no secret. :) There is a shower in the Loft, thought wasn't clear to us when booking. Shower is a little tight for tall people. Very nice and stay and will do it again.
