The room was marginal. the sheets felt like sandpaper and the bed was as hard as the floor. There was no water pressure in the shower, the hot water was hit or miss and if it was a hit you had about 5 minutes of it. The towels were in very poor shape and looked like they hadn’t been replaced in years. The bath mats and mats in the bedroom were mismatched in the condition of rags. The lights browned out constantly. There is no TV in the room- fine except there is also no WiFi. The high speed WiFi is a farce. WiFi was available at the restaurant if you wanted to do anything you had to walk down there- it was in no such way high speed as advertised. The hot tub they do not keep hot. I was told to turn it on 3 times before you want to get in it, well an hour later still wasn’t even warm. They advertise all of these activities, they fail to mention 80% of them are not in town and they will charge you several hundred dollars for transport, it’s false advertising that they show them all on their site with no such warning. The activity director didn’t even know they had bikes for use so we spent several hundred dollars to rent some across the street. Their snorkel, SUP boards and kite launch was really run down, old and not taken care of at all. The kite launch has no support, the air compressor is broken. Food was marginal and it was a crap shoot what you got for a drink depending on who made it. We did mention the above to staff, owner Tim wouldn’t even make eye contact with us.

This is a really wonderful place to stay! It’s right on the sea of Cortez with dreamy, sunrises and sunsets, the staff is lovely and helpful. The food is excellent, and the Palapas are charming with your own little deck and hammock, and they are quite large inside. Also the resort offers excellent excursions like boat and snorkel trips, paddleboards, and kayaks and more. I will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay here. Perfect location, clean, friendly staff, and great food! With paddle boards and snorkel gear included, we could be out on the water as much as I wanted. It was a truly magical experience for some rest, and relaxation. Only challenge was when connecting to a 90 min zoom call, the WiFi didn’t sustain. I was kicked offline multiple times through the call. However, for other online work, it was sufficient enough. Would go back for sure!

Not worth the price. Shared bathrooms and showers, no towels, no shampoo, and despite requests, our view was blocked by a boat with a blinking light that was left on through the night. Restaurant on the property also had terrible service. We usually are not picky about our accommodations but we would not recommend this spot.

Great stay. Amazing food here at the restaurant! Best in La Ventana? Casita was delightful and air conditioning worked perfectly. Snorkel gear, sea kayak were great. Only one working bike out of 5 so didn't get to use all the included amenities.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Palapas! The staff was attentive, welcome, friendly, and made everything so smooth for our needs. We arrived past the check in time and it was no problem. Breakfast was delicious and special requests such as a a vegetarian option were readily available. bottomless coffee. We enjoyed fresh snapper for dinner that was caught right off shore in the evening. The Palapa that we stayed in was clean and had everything we needed- a little sink, fresh water, a comfy bed, screened porch and windows. the overall space is really special and the perfect zone to relax in. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and cannot wait to go back again. What a special find!

Quiet, thoughtfully designed and constructed property that straddles an arroyo, with palapa/cottages on either side. Cheery. Our shower was a rain head type, but really just squirted out of part of the head, so not exactly a spa experience. Good included breakfast in the AM. The free kayaks and loads of classes or excursions seem fun.

I really enjoyed my brief stay at Palapas Ventana. My only regret is I didn't find it earlier in my trip so that I could have stayed longer. The people were friendly and full of information. The location was superb, in fact good luck finding a better location (activities, beach, natural beauty. I highly recommend.

The resort has a very friendly family style feel. Food was excellent. You can have a very peaceful stay and choose from activities like snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding etc, They provide all gear. The individual “casita” I stayed in was comfortable and clean. The owners have created a resort that integrates with the local town. My favorite moments were watching the sunrise from the comfortable covered terrace whilst sipping my coffee (available to guests every morning from 7 am).

Clean... somewhat primitive as the showers and bathrooms were across the road. Best food and smiles At the restaurant. Yummy I must admit that for 130 per night through Expedia seemed way high. Next time I’ll bypass Expedia and get a better Rate People are the finest and so is the food. Isrrael makes sure his game is on. Good people 👍

The casitas are charming and very comfortable. The view of Isla Cerralvo and the Gulf is great, and it is a very relaxed environment with a service-oriented staff.

We stayed at Palapas Ventana in April, and the weather was perfect. We swam with whale sharks, kayaked, dove, biked, fished, and snorkeled. Love the fact that Palpas has all the toys-no need for a rental car. Great airport shuttle, jacuzzi, pool, breakfast, comfy and clean rooms We don't kiteboard, but there was a bit of wind mid-afternoon for the sport. Palapas is well-run. Great 6 day vacation.

If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you’ll like this place. It’s about an hour away from La Paz but very easy to get there if you decide to rent a car. The town seems lonely and not many places to eat out but the hotel has a restaurant with good food and good prices. The huts have everything you need to have a pleasant stay. You will have views to amazing sunrise and sunsets. At night you can also go in the jacuzzi and stargaze. Also, if you plan on doing any type of ocean adventure such as whale watching ( during season), whale shark encounters, fishing trips...etc. you can book your tours onsite. Ask any staff member for Tim Halter.

A great, laid back, funky place to stay by the beach. The only negative part of our stay was the manager adding on additional charges to the Hotel.com price we agreed to online.

The casitas are a round building with a comfortable king sized bed, a bathroom and shower are shared. The shared area was clean and well stocked but none of the showers drained so you end up standing in backed up water; kinda gross. In the casita there was an extension cord to power a couple of devices and a couple of lamps clamped on the headboard for reading, but there was no other furnishing in the room. Although there was plenty of room along the rounded walls for some simple tables there wasn't even a simple luggage rack; suitcase was on the floor. There was no bedside table; water bottle, book, cell phone were on the floor. There was no place to put clothing so you have to live out of your suitcase. There was no place to hang anything. There was a set of hooks for your towel and bathing suit to dry. There was one small, very low table on which sat a binder with information and 3 or 4 other laminated signs. There were 2 small, very high shelves that were usable for your bathroom kit. One nice thing was that they provided purified water in a 5 gallon dispenser; the tap water isn't drinkable.
