We were fortunate enough to stay in the presidential suite and also in one of the rooms with the terrace that had fabulous views. The staff was excellent, specially Primi, Kevin and Max. They made us feel at home.

It's a nice enough place - decent rooms, great view, mostly very friendly staff. But it is far from "a tranquil oasis", as it promises. The pool area has dance music blasting from midday onwards (which we could hear from inside our room on the top floor), and very few lounge areas that aren't in direct sun - so you either sit in the extremely noisy restaurant or burn. Also, the restaurant and bar are not open past 6pm, contrary to what is advertised. Food and drinks were good though very, very slow. If you want a PV-style party place then you might enjoy it here - we didn't.

This hotel is in a great location. The views are stunning. The staff is friendly and the rooms are lovely. Max at the front desk went above and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. He helped book reservations, taxis and massage. I would highly recommend Villa Aikia if you are planning a trip to Zipolite.

Had a great 4 night stay! Appreciated the hospitality (shout out to Max!), private beach, quiet relaxing atmosphere. Good location 10mins from the main street. Smart room layout, great AC, & gorgeous ocean view. Would stay again!

We loved staying here. The staff were amazing and the views are incredible. Our room (the Master Terrace room) had two king beds - one in a loft area. The1/2 bathroom in the loft area had a urinal/sink and no toilet. It worked for us, but had I been traveling with female friends, it wouldn't have been the best. I'd definitely go back, but would opt for a different room with a group of women.

The hotel itself was nice. But their advertising was very misleading. When we arrived we were told the pool had been broken for "several weeks" but would be fixed within a day or two. It never got fixed. So no pools (they were both broken), no restaurant for dinner, no bar. We were never warned there was no pool or bar or restaurant until we arrived. The staff were very nice and friendly, the room was fantastic, the food (for breakfast) was good but limited. It forced us to leave the hotel and do a 20 minute walk into town each day as the hotel had zero amenities. So we had to pay to go use pools in other hotels. Bought drinks at other places. Bought dinner at other places. Basically this hotel was nothing more than a room and a 20 minute walk from town and an hour walk from Playa D'amour. I would recommend any of the other hotels closer into town, and do not book here unless you can confirm the amenities are working. Nothing worse than booking a hotel in Mexico and having a week of 35 degree weather and no pool to cool off in. Very disappointed
