We would for sure come back to this place. We travel to San Jose a few times a year and found this hidden gem. The AC works amazing, the rooms are the perfect size (don’t spend much time in the room), bathroom good size, parking is right there and property is very well taken care of and clean.

This was a great place to stay. Very peaceful. It’s small so doesn’t have the business of a big hotel. Good value. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful (local spots etc) The rooms and common area, pool area were kept clean. Small Pool was nice. I liked the firm bed. It was 1/2 km up the steep hill from the highway. But easy access under the highway to get to costa Azul beach. And a little grocery store where you can get some eggs, avocados etc to add to the breakfast at the hotel. Which is basic bread for toast, 2 cereals and milk, coffee, and lots of freshly cut fruit. There was also water in common kitchen you can fill your own containers with. Air conditioner worked well, and the curtains kept the morning heat away. I would stay here again.

The hotel was below average at best. There is no airport shuttle, no easily accessible elevator, and the “free breakfast” is a couple pieces of fruit daily. The walls in the rooms lack adequate insulation and are extremely thin so all noises are easily heard all day and night.

If only I can give 10 stars. My partner, daughter and I stayed at Maria Mar Suites for a week and we didn't want to leave. Everything was beautiful and peaceful. Our first day we passed a mama horse and her baby grazing on the hill leading up to the hotel. The ocean is across the street from the hotel (and just a short walk from our room) but we still had a clear view close enough to watch and record the whales as they swam by in the mornings. The manager Isaac was so welcoming and informative of the area. I went to Mexico for dental work and after a day of being at the dentist it was healing to spend the evenings there at the hotel and wake up being able to whale watch from our balcony while we sipped our coffee. We also had some great family time and conversations while we dipped our feet in the pool. I will recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you again Isaac and all the staff at MariaMar. We hope to be back soon ♥️

The views are spectacular! The staff are super helpful! The only recommendation would be to get more comfortable beds but I understand they are working on that too. Such a hidden gem!

This property is a hidden gem in Los Cabos. Isaac at the Front Desk is super personable and welcoming as he conveys vital information about the property and surrounding areas. I booked MariaMar Suites because of the "million dollar view" and I wanted to be far away from the road construction noise and dust in the central SJD area. The hotel is high on a hill which provided unobstructed views of the Sea of Cortez but it is a "hike" down to the beach and a workout coming back up the hill. You are likely to use Uber more than you planned but I also felt safe walking up the hill at night after a meal at Zippers. This is a small, family-owned and operated hotel so it is well maintained and the owners take great pride in providing a clean and welcoming environment. The pool is small but so is the hotel so you won't encounter too many guests and there are several areas with shade. I would definitely return to MariaMar Suites in the future!

Our room was clean, staff was courteous and helpful, fruit with our continental breakfast was always fresh and plentiful. We certainly had our workout going up and down the hill to the property
