I did not stay at the property, the pictures were not as reality. The receptionist said there was no problem, she would cancel que reservation and return the amount paid. I am still waiting for the money to be returned.

Easy check in. Friendly staff. Simple but decent breakfast. Hot water & good views. Especially if you plan to visit the hot springs you are very close.

Switched to Mistico last minute but the staff took care of the quad room for us and made it very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available at 5:30am which was super helpful. The family quad room was perfect for our one night stay and felt like a fun camp bunk room. The balcony over looking the river was also a nice perk. Location is a short walk away from the main plaza away from the intense tourist action. We found a charming restaurant that was not crazy busy around the corner.

The ladies are great and you can see that they want and they do help, too bad the hot water system is really bad in the room with balcony to the river and a the noise from the river makes us forget about the hot water problems and sleep well. Then they move us to a smaller room because a mess up with Expedia and that room didn’t have a window to the outside. and the toilet was not working right, which they fix it later on the day. Very quite place but is the last hotel at the end of the town, a town with no cars so you have to walk and is a hike up, we are near our 70s and we made it(remember it’s a 2400 meters altitude)

It is not a luxury hotel; it is a cute, friendly place to spend one night in Aguas Calientes. The bathroom was updated and sparkly clean. The walls are thin, but the rushing river behind masks sounds from other guests. The other guests were chill anyway. Special shout out the woman at the desk. I had a problem with my ticket (no entry time listed) to enter Machu Picchu), and she helped me deal with that. I also had other questions, and she was supre kind.

There was no one at the desk for check in. I ended up having to go to the restaurant next door and have them call so we could check in.

Last minute booking, but this stay far exceeded my expectations! The sound of the river is so relaxing and the packed lunch for a long day of exploring was a nice touch!

If you want the Waldorf Astoria, don’t stay in Aquas Calientes. However, If you want a nice low key place to stay at a very reasonable price in Aquas Calientes this place is great. My family of three stayed 2 nights in the room with 3 beds, private bath, and balcony over the water. Alejandra was such a great host for us. The room was clean, had hot water in the shower, and very comfortable beds with warm blankets. As others have said, it is a little bit of a walk up the hill , but it was worth it for us to be in a quieter place with less crowds. Also, we enjoyed the noise from the river, but for those who don’t like the noise you will not want a room on the river. The hotel fit our needs perfectly and we’re so glad we picked it. Thanks again Alejandra!

We stay at the second floor. It was noise at night time. You can hear people next room talking . It was hard to sleep. Breakfast was very minimal. Hot water run out. We had to call front desk. They didn’t clean our room while we stayed. No TV also or fridge.

The property owner was extremely nice! Location was perfect, far from the noise but it’s only a 5-7 minute walk from the train station is. Breakfast is served at the time you want and there is hot water! Place is very nice!

Our stay was greatly. The gentleman was very welcoming and answered all my questions. They even offer to keep our luggage until we came back from our trip Machu Picchu when our check out was at 9:30am. I recommend this place.

I can highly recommend. Very pleasant staff. Hotel Mistico is very clean, on quiet place and very homy. Downstairs there is a mineral shop with local and typical stones of Machu Picchu. All hotel has very nice smell of fragrand sticks which is very congenial. From outside you can hear only river murmur and you are only 5 steps from termal hot water. Only thing we noticed there is not too much hot water for showering in the room. But if you do it quickly is good. I would definitively come back to this hotel again.

A friend and I stayed here for one night, before a trip up to Machu Picchu with an early morning start. We slept extremely well — best night's sleep of our trip to Peru! — enjoying the white noise of the creek behind the hotel.

Service is really good. The front desk checked my required documents to MP, I forgot to print the ticket. All I got is the booking confirmation. And she printed my ticket for me. Also, she provided many useful info.
