Had a great stay. Clean, comfy and friendly owner, neat and tastefully decorated, with a river running outside your window. It's a great experience especially when you open the curtain in the morning and see the mountains nearby, but may need earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I had originally booked another guesthouse nearby, which costs nearly double, but I waited 1.5hour but nobody was in the house to check me in, so I walked around and asked 3-4 more places, and this is the only one with receptionist. Definitely recommend for the price, quality and value!

B&B Picaflor was exactly what you see in the Hotels.com photos. Small, cozy, beautiful wood throughout, friendly welcome. One of the team members was Canadian, so that helped with translation. The other's English was good enough. What we liked best about the place was its location. A very quiet street, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough that you could get to the main plaza in about three minutes. When we were in Ollantaytambo, we walked by other hotels we were considering for our stay and we were very happy we chose Picaflor.

this place is small and quaint. located in the perfect area, close to the small plaza for shopping, eating and located close to the train station to Macchu Picchu. The service was what I most liked. The host was very attentive and kind.

Easily one of the best decisions I made on the trip. Excellent car service from the airport. The owner/manager does an outstanding job making guests feel welcomed to the B&B and Ollantaytambo. Picaflor Tambo was a rustic, placid experience. It has wonderful charm. I'm so glad I booked here!!

Really great location a block or two off the main square. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly and gave us tips such as how much a taxi should cost to the train station. We took a tuk tuk to the station to Machu Picchu the next morning. Room was large and bathroom large.

Wow, what a little gem right in the heart of Ollantaytambo! Our room was up on the second level with a view of the ruins and slept to the sound of the Inca made canal. The place was clean, beautiful and great staff and breakfast. It was also very cheap. 10/10 .. amazing place!

The place itself is very charming. Bedrooms are spacious and had everything we needed, a comfy bed, hot shower and the sound of water running outside just made it more special. Antonio is great. Very helpful and nice. We had to leave early the next day and missed the breakfast. Antonio was kind enough to pack our breakfast to go. Would stay there again and would recommend to my friends.

Was a fabulous place to stay. Just far enough from Plaza to walk but quiet location. Walkway to Granaries entrance opposite accommodation. Breakfast was fresh, incl eggs to order. Bed very comfy, shower hot and very welcoming hosts. Only too happy to help with information and ongoing travel tips.

We stayed at B&B Picaflor Tambo for 1 night before travelling on to Machu Picchu. Out of a 3-week trip in Ecuador and Peru, with 8 different accommodations, which were all good, this was my husband's favourite stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful, giving us dining suggestions. The inn and our room were cosy and quaint, with a decor of beautiful local art and handicrafts. The bed was comfortable, and there were warm covers. We had a water jug which we could refill with purified water--something that was not provided at any of our other accommodations in Peru. We had no issues with the shower or the wifi, as a few other reviewers have had. (I suspect some reviewers may not be familiar with tankless hot-water heating. We also have this at home, and it can take a little bit longer for the water to get hot, especially on upper floors.) Although we didn't use it, several varieties of tea, including coca tea, were available in our room. Breakfast was delicious, and we loved the charming breakfast room. Our room had a view of ruins and the aquaduct. We loved staying in the midst of Incan history. Our experience here was brief, but pleasant and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, if we are ever back in the area. (Cross posted.)
