A fun and peaceful place to stay, away from the large crowds. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the main town or borrow bikes to ride from the owners. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, and you can easily arrange for taxi boats to pick you up right from here to head out on your next adventure.

Nicolas the owner was a good host, and gave us lots of valuable information with regards to Bocas. Makes a mean breakfast.

We had a great stay here. Angie is lovely and made us feel very welcome. Facilities are fine including beer in the fridge and honesty box, and good choice of breakfast on the west-facing terrace on stilts out to the bay. We borrowed some bikes and cycled along to Bluff playa, which was practically deserted, but had good lunch places. Worth noting that Bocas is undergoing a major upgrade to their water, drainage and roads when we were there (April 2024) which meant the town was a bit chaotic, and walking round was a bit tricky. This made Saigon Bay even more of a peaceful haven during our stay. Highly recommended!

Angie and Chapo are so kind and always offered very helpful advise about the area. Also, excellent cooks! Great area for kayaking and just looking over the water for a moment of zen 😃

Angie and Nick run a beautiful bed and breakfast. Breakfast is included with the stay and they make delicious meals. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare your own meals but there are delicious restaurants in Bocas. Angie is so knowledgeable about transportation and sightseeing as well. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you

I loved my stay at Saigon Bay B & B. It’s in a serene surrounding on the water. I’m glad I didn’t choose lodging in Bocas Town, which was a less than 20min walk to the end of the town. Nicholas and Angie are wonderful hosts. They put off a cool vibe that spreads throughout the property. Nicholas took care of the guests mostly during my stay and he was very helpful with info. The housekeeper and her young daughter are great as well. There is A/C and a fan in the room but no A/C in the common areas, or it wasn’t on. The breakfast and coffee were tasty, which I looked forward to each day. The room isn’t big but the common areas including the living room, kitchen, and the long dock were spacious enough. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Saigon Bay has a beautiful dock where you can swim or use the kayak provided. Very easy to get around by taxi or walking. We enjoyed the bikes on the property. Angie and Nicholas made a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

The owners are really friendly and welcoming. The place really feels cosy. Being out over the sea is quite unique. The budget room was even more compact than we expected, but it had air conditioning and there is a kitchen and lounge space for guests to use, as well as the spacious outside deck. This also meant there was plenty of interaction with other guests. Breakfast was made to order from a selection if options. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the main part of town and the boat docks. There are some small supermarkets nearby. The owner also offers free bikes and a kayak. The only issue we had was some difficulty controlling the shower temperature.

We LOVED Nicolas and Angie's BnB. It's a little house right on the water, in a quiet corner of town. The fun bars and good restaurants of Bocas town are a quick 5 to 10 minute bike ride away (and the free bikes provided work well), but the BnB is tucked away in a calm area so you can relax and sleep. The breakfast provided is DELICIOUS, the house is super clean and cozy, fresh water and tea provided was so nice, the terrace on the water is really nice with lounge chairs and tables, there is a kayak to use, and nice beaches a short bike ride away. Nicolas and Angie made us feel so welcome. This is a little home turned BnB, with a lot of care and attention to details and making guests feel at home. We were SO happy to find this place. The 3 rooms of the house are next to one another with thin walls, so if you are a light sleeper you might need earplugs if the other guests are noisy (we had no problems at all). But the bed was really comfortable, the shower was good with hot water, and the room was spacious with shelves and a table to arrange your stuff. Gracias Nicolás y Angie!!

We really enjoyed our stay with Angie and Nicolaus. Very friendly and helpful. Their guest house is great, the shared common room and kitchen worked well. Very cool to stay in an over the water accommodation. Included breakfasts were amazing! Only $2 for a taxi to town. And is walkable. Really cute room. The only downfall is the water is not that clear off the dock for swimming but the view and sunsets are spectacular, We enjoyed meeting people who stayed in the other two rooms.

We chose this stay for a week based on the online pictures, high reviews, and value. We are very pleased with our decision. At the opposite end of Bocas Town in Saigon Bay, hosts Angie and Chapo provided a comfortable stay with excellent service, advice, and personal conversations. They really do know how to run a business. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip with delicious options. Free bikes, kayak use, water refills, access to refrigerator, it was very homey. At times, we felt like we were staying at a friend or a relative house vs. a paying guest. Great value, nice location, comfortable room, excellent service, and beautiful scenery, there’s not much more we can ask for. The high reviews for this place are all accurate. Muchas Gracias Angie and Chapo! Btw - Don’t expect Angie to be a little Vietnamese lady greeting you at the door ;-).

Easy to find, wonderful, helpful hosts and a really homey, cosy place. Great breakfast and just wonderful to sit out on the back deck to watch the sunset. Loved my few nights here. Highly recommend if you want something away from the more rowdy areas!!

I had a wonderful time in Bocas del Toro and I firmly believe it was largely due to where I stayed. Saigon Bay BnB has an amazing view of the Bay, that I could (and did) stare at for hours. As someone that travels alone it was really nice to be here. I was treated as a friend as opposed to just a revenue stream by the onsite owners/operators. They serve a very nice breakfast and are so attentive. Always present and always ready to help you have a better stay. They have bikes and kayaks and many very nice services that are yours just for being their guest. Many pleasant surprises. I just can not say enough about how great they were to me. The property is away from the down town noise but it is only a few minutes away on foot. I walked the neighborhood every evening, in the dark, alone, and never had even the slightest of problems. Overall I couldnt have been happier. Thank you again Angie and Nicolas!!

Saigon Bay bed and breakfast is in an excellent location. you can walk to town or the airport. We did not notice air traffic noise in spite of the proximity to the airport. The couple running the hotel are really friendly, welcoming and helpful couple. We stayed a month at Saigon Bay and had use of bicycles every day, kayaks to paddle out from the over the water deck, snorkel and mask to explore the bay. You can choose your breakfast from a menu and we were given use of the kitchen if we wanted to eat in for lunch or dinner. The hosts, Nick and Angie, are conscientious hosts who respect your privacy but are there with out hesitation to offer advice or fix problems, such as a flat tyre, taxi needed etc. The hotel's location makes it easy to access any of the town's services or just enjoy sitting on the deck to enjoy the sunset. The hotel is very well priced, considering it comes with breakfast and use of equipment mentioned earlier. Do not expect luxury, this is a traditional, wooden over the water hotel. There are three rooms and ours came with a toilet and separate shower room. The toilet did not leave too much to the imagination but for married couples or long term couples used to each this does not matter. The hotel is very clean, well maintained and decorated to give a cozy friendly feeling. We will most definitely be looking to stay here again when we visit Bocas in the future
