Although it’s a bit far from the main tourist areas on the island, this was the most affordable option I could find with a decent rating. It’s conveniently close to the airport, which was a plus. The lady at reception was very kind and always tried her best to help, even though she didn’t speak English. Communication took a bit of time, but her effort was appreciated. The room was fine and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. One thing to note is that there’s no lift, so carrying large luggage upstairs can be challenging. Breakfast was decent, and the hotel is within walking distance of grocery stores and restaurants, which was very convenient.

Room was ok, missing a table and chair. Had to sit on the bed all the time. There was an armoire but the inside had a smell. Needs some care. Bed was ok and shower worked fine. Breakfast on the terrace was nice. The location is good and the staff very nice.

I loved the homeliness of the place, the owner Husna allowed me to stay till my taxi arrived at 4pm, general checkout is 11am, that was nice of her and I appreciated that a lot. She was nice to talk to as well. Regards to her

Breakfast on the roof terrace! It's not a 5* hotel but as a base to explore the east coast of the island - or as a stop-off near the airport - this is outstanding value for money

it is very simple property and room is small. Bath room is so small that it is very difficult for a person to take rotation inside. breakfast is limited. cleanliness is good. it is close to Mahebourg bus station.

It's a family who run the guest house they are lovely people very kind and helpful, the airport pick up was excellent, they even took me up to the biscuit factory as it was pouring with rain. Breakfast was substantial and as budget accommodation close to the airport it is excellent for a short stopover.

Tyvabro guesthouse is great for solo travelers, couples and families. Great position in the middle of the town, with the all necessary points (supermarkets, local market, restaurants, post office, petrol stations...). Guest house can arrange tours or excursions at your preferences as well. Host is wonderful and takes proud in his work and always take cares of his patrons. To understand Mauritius and culture of the islanders, this is the best and frankly the most economic option.

The hotel is in a quiet street, but within walking distance to the bus station and the main shopping area of Mahebourg. While the architecture is odd in places (part of the appeal), and the street front not particularly appealing, there are great views from the roof terrace and across to Lion Mountain. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, you have a private shower and loo, free WiFi, and the use of a safe in your room. There are communal self serve tea and coffee facilities, and the fee includes a decent breakfast. The manager is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for the money.

The Tyvabro is a guesthouse in the heart of Mahebourg. In itself the building is not very attractive and the hotel is a bit hidden. The first impression is to enter in somebody's house as you enter in the owner's living room and it is a bit messy. The rooms are quite big. This being said, everything is very clean, breakfast is great and the owners are really helpful and attentive. Furthermore, location is great to explore Mahebourg and its market and blue bay. Main drawback I would say is the mosque nearby waking you up at 6 in the morning.

I took the room there for one night by transit. It was enough to have a good sleeping before the next flight.

Petit hôtel familial sympa. La literie était confortable. Le bâtiment et les équipements sont un peu vieux mais pour une nuit c'est largement suffisant. Nous avons rencontré la maman et la fille qui travaillent ensemble à l'hôtel. Très gentille toutes les deux. Dommage nous n'avons pas pu goûter au petit-déjeuner car nous partions trop tôt... Le centre ville est accessible à pied. Le coin est calme. À 15 min de l'aéroport international.
