Beautiful property and wonderful staff

Lovely property, welcoming staff, fabulous food at dinner, great room with balcony. Quiet location, and easy to find by car. A bit far to walk into town centre on a hot day.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Alpenhotel Ernberg. Our only issue was that we had a room of 3 and the bed for the third full-size adult was more suited for a child and the mattress was not even in height for its full length.

Hotel was quaint with a good restaurant. No elevator and small rooms but well maintained.

We were upgraded to a suite. It was beautiful, but directly above the bar. It was noisy and smoke filled.

Easy to walk downtown. Easy to drive to local attractions.

We had the best time in this hotel -- there was music playing on the back patio, great food and great accommodations. I would definitely return here if I can some day.

Great place to stay to visit the castles. Not to crowded like the other towns. Great for down time and the views are fabulos!!

we are traveling around austria for more than a week and the last stop is to see neuschwanstein castle. we are thinking to book one with fitness centre and sauna to relax, which on hotel.com said this Alpenhotel comes with fitness amenities. when we check it, we asked the boss what time is your sauna open? the boss said 9am, and we asked him if there is a fitness centre, he said yes. next morning after breakfast we were planning to go fitness centre n sauna, found out that it's the community centre 15min away that doesn't belong to the hotel but the guests are entitled to use. fine, we will walk 15 min. but when we get there, there is a charge of 19 Euro for the services. this is out of expectation and very poor, felt like the hotel are lying. if u don't have such services or amenities in your hotel, pls just said no, because we could have book many other hotels in the area which came with sauna and fitness centre. plus, besides the boss, no one can really speak English, so we had a hard time communicating. we told the boss about what the website described doesn't match the reality, the boss said he didn't write the description and will not take responsibility! this is the unluckiest and worst choice we ever made in hotel.com

Our stay was very pleasant with the exception that we could hear a lot of noise from the restaurant because our room was on the first floor.

Beautiful spotless big room in a nice quiet village. Great access to outdoor sports and hiking. Would stay again.

This was a great location, easy to find and just a short distance to the Neushwanstein Casle. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here before and will stay again.

A fantastic hotel, wonderful views, great food, helpful staff. We only wish we had stayed longer.

We all really liked this hotel. It had the charming alpine decor, outstanding service, a very good restaurant, good location and all at very good price. We especially enjoyed the free passes from the hotel for the lovely indoor/outdoor pool complex just around the corner (great after a busy day of hiking and sight seeing) and for the cable car up the nearly mountain. One of our beds had problems with the slats, which they attempted to fix, but never fully succeeded subtracting some from the comfort level. But overall, this was a great place for a family vacation.
