Customer service was excellent and the hotel is very convenient to all that the old town has to offer. The hotel is very charming and the restaurant was fantastic also. The room was very comfortable. We were able to walk easily anywhere we wanted to go. This was the perfect stay for our visit to the Rothenburg Christmas markets and we would highly recommend!

The parking was very safe, although initially a little difficult to find. The staff was incredibly friendly. The breakfast was continental and it was adequate. The location was absolutely amazing.

Location is right on the Main Street. Steps from everything. Atmosphere is authentic old wood antiques. Great restaurant and breakfast. Rooms are very large and has all the modern amenities. Very helpful staff.

Great location right next to the well-known Plönlein. The breakfast was terrific. Everything you could want, from jammy hard boiled eggs, to all kinds of breads and meats and cheeses.

Well appointed. Could have had air conditioning or at least a fan and or screen on window. Very comfortable.

I had a train to catch early in the morning. As I’m leaving the property, the check out desk is closed so I left the key there, and sent a message to the property to charge my card on file. I get a response from the property, with exclamation points that they cannot charge my card. I immediately respond and say, I’ll get you a new card and I’ll take care of it. Even though I’m clearly not trying to skip out on the bill, I get messages from the property about how they are going to get the police involved if I don’t pay by 8am. I’m clearly working with the lady to try to get it paid, I don’t appreciate being threatened. I mean they took my credit card upon arrival, isn’t that’s what that’s for? So I’m on a train trying to send my credit card info over message, while service is going in and out because this lady is freaking out. When I clearly said, I will get it taken care of. Once I got service again, I called gave them another card (don’t think they take Amex) and paid. Property was very classic and nice, they need to train their employees the art of chill in a unfortunate situation. Checkout was at 11 and this lady freaking out at 8am was not appropriate. It caused stress in my trip, and clearly I had all intentions of paying, that’s why I messaged them. If this is a problem, take payment up front like all other hotels. I gave them my card for this reason.

Location is phenomenal and was really grateful for the locked garage that is only for guests! Neat room and experience. However, the rooms are super quiet and there are no fans or heat. No amenities provided (except shoe sponge and shower cap) and there’s a cost to water in the room. Showers are difficult to use also. Breakfast had options.

A lovely place to stay in a large room with antique furniture. The location is just next to the famous photo of the town. The meal in the restaurant was very good. The service is very good and thoughtful. It is very quiet. I highly recommend staying here. We loved it.

A wonderful town and hotel

The stay was pleasant. We especially like the location and the balcony in the room. The only let down was that they do not provide water and a kettle in the room. And let check-in was a little tricky as they did not mention to enter via side door.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Clean, accommodating, and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff, situation in a picture, perfect location in the centre of the old town.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Glocke. Its a very unique building and tactfully decorated. The room was spacious. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is a huge bonus point. Just a 2 min stroll up the street and you are in the main square area. We repent for not staying for more than one night at the Glocke.

This is my second time staying at this property. I suggest you ask for room #17, it has the best views. The parking garage is located next door so it's convenient. The shopping and Christmas markets are an easy walk to the right after you come out of the front door. The city walls can be walked if you go left out of the front door. The staff has always been great and helpful. Everyone speaks English as well.

Very centrally located. Cheap parking not far away. Offered dining options as well. Breakfast was delicious.
