If you need to leave early, you might have problems. Nobody at reception before 8am. House is locked up. You need to pay your check the night before otherwise they get very unhappy. The restaurant was good. Waiters friendly. Surroundings and landscape great. Owner should accommodate early leaving guests needs. Serve earlier breakfast and allow Dropbox for keys and someone at reception in the early morning to allow easy bill pay. Thank you.

Clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast, used as a one night stop to visit Calw. 40 minutes walk or few minute drive.

Great hotel in Black Forest - close to calw which has a nice old town, and next to old abbey. 30 min commute to Daimler - no traffic ! Better option than Stuttgart or Singelfingen . Hotel is great - very good bar and restaurant, nice pool, clean rooms - only issue is no AC and it was very hot while I was there.

Excellent hotel, we stayed for one night on a European road trip.

Nice rooms w/ high ceilings. OK indoor pool, with limited seating. Rooms also didn't have A/C, but we had a nice breeze with the windows open. Breakfast was fairly good, but we called down to ask if breakfast was included, and were told "of course!", and then were charged 25 euro at check-out. When we tried to contest the charge, they just said, "well your rate didn't include breakfast, so...". Would have appreciated them taking off the charge.

Hotel very sympatic and quiet perfect for a relaxing weekend away from allday trouble

I visted this area for a concert and the hotel is right next to the venue. There is nothing in this remote area even close to this hotel except the old church complex where famous artists come to perform. You can tell there has been money put into this hotel, as the hotel facilities are great! The problem is that people make the hotel a good experience or bad and this hotel's staff is rude! First, booking this room six months in advance I requested a smoking room and the hotel is smoke free, fine. There are rooms with balconies and that would have been just fine with me, but no one cared to even accomodate me and put me in very small room where I had to take a elevator down and go outside and that was very difficult. The main problem is the resturant staff. There are three witches that work the breakfast and they could not even care to seat me in the morning. I sat at a dirty table and not one of these witches came to clean the table or ask if I wanted any coffee. I had to take eating knifes and fork from another table and after twenty minutes I had to get up and ask for coffee. Even then, these three witches are only interested in walking around and talking between themselves. Although, ironically, they take good care of the German guests, but not foreigners! After thirty minutes, I finally had to get up and yell at them to get me coffee. This is the same for the dinner staff at night. For a expensive hotel, I thought that the staff would be better! Bad experience!!

Das war alles stimmig und sehr gutes Frühstück bei einem guten Service, vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung. Sollte ich wieder in der Nähe sein, werde ich mir lieber ein Doppelzimmer zur Einzelnutzung buchen, was diesmal leider nicht verfügbar war. Da mir das Einzelbett doch sehr schmal wirkte. Aber eine schöne Aussicht vom Balkon in die Berge, hatte mich positiv gestimmt.

In unmittelbarer Nähe zur Klosterruine Hirsau. Reichhaltiges Frühstück.
