Eduarado was absolutely amazing! As was the rest of the team! Breakfast was delicious, everyone was so kind and welcoming. I unfortunately got sick on our vacation and the team made me tea to help me feel better and would ask my husband how I was doing. They were so caring and lovely!

Location is the stand out feature here coupled with a relaxed vibe and large sea view rooms.

Nice stay, excellent location just a block from the pedestrian path which leads to the harborfront. Hot water and a/c worked well, and my bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included, with eggs, fruit, bread, juice and coffee. The dining area is open-air, so insect repellant was a must for me, as I am a bug magnet (san cristobal the buggiest of the three main islands). There is some construction currently under way to expand the property, the work was during reasonable hours and did not disrupt my sleep in any way. The owners are a very friendly couple who advised me of local sights and offered to help book any tours I'd be interested in. Overall, good value and a place I would return to.

Fantastic place! Seconds from the water, minutes from the pier, and next to 4 restaurants. Eduardo there gave me a free upgrade on the top floor. The views were amazing! I'll definitely be staying there again

The Royal Galapagos inn is very nice, but apart from a great breakfast, it offers very little beyond what other places in town offer for slightly less than half the price. Most disappointing are the showers, where hot water is a trickle at best, and control of water temperature (which keeps changing without you touching the taps) is impossible The rooms are large and clean with no amenities, though the air conditioning works well, if you get a sea view, then the view is obviously great. Beds are not very comfortable. Breakfast is the high point, simple, but ample, with great fruits, horrible coffee, very good, fresh hot buns, and wonderful fruit juice together with scrambled egg and granola. The staff is friendly and helpful

The bed was quite comfy. A/c works great. Nice fruit & smoothie for breakfast. (They serve eggs, etc, I just don't eat that.) Very nice view of the water from the top. This hotel is so easily walkable to the 2 nearby beaches (highly recommend the far one w rocks - saw a octopus!) & to "town". Frankly perfectly located! Not fancy but WELL worth the money & I would stay there again! The property is under major renovations - it will likely be very nice when finished but not that attractive at this time. However, they were not working & making noise when I was there. I was told they will have a pool. (I like to be as accurate as possible - even though the owner asked me to give 5s all the way across - I reserve that for luxury type places. But this places is so worth the money!)

We were there 3 nights, the place was good and the breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed in on Galapagos.

The owner is super nice and super friendly. Gave us plenty of tips and advice. 3 minute walk to el malecón which is all but stores and restaurants. Breakfast included fresh cut fruits, fresh juice, fresh coffee, warm bread rolls, scrambled eggs, butter and jam. If we ever go back to the Galapagos, this is where we will stay.

Overall, the stay was not bad, but there were a few issues. The biggest issue and reason I had to give 2 stars is because the ceiling began leaking all over us in the middle of the night. The positive was that we were able to check in around 11:30am I believe. Upon checkin, the owner told us credit card could not be used and we had to pay cash. I sort of expected this, so it was no problem. He told us at check in that we were being upgraded (though I'm pretty certain we were in the room we paid for), but asked us not to touch the extra bed in the room. A little odd, but not a problem and we complied until we were forced to use it on our second night. There were tiny little bugs all over the room, but we weren't too bothered by it, but just something to mention. The view was great and the hammock was very nice. Here's the bad. We had rain both nights we stayed, but it was definitely heavier on our second night. Around 10/10:30pm we started to hear water dripping. The ceiling connected to the door of the balcony was dripping. Not the end of the world, we just put a towel down and tried to go back to bed. About an hour or so later, we woke up to a pool of water between us on the bed, and it was dripping onto my fiancé so it woke him up. We were forced to move into the other bed (unfortunately the sheets were dirty), but we chose that over a soaking wet bed. Overall the view was nice and the location was great, but the leaking ceiling, dirty sheets, and bugs were the negative.

Honest review! Could have been three or four stars but owner tried to screw us around. Travelling with my wife, three-year-old and Mom. Booked a three bed room, and even called a month earlier to clarify for sure the booking was for a room with three beds and he said yes. After paying for the room, where he seemed to not know how to use his credit card machine (telling me that he uses the tap function for $1000 transactions)…… and I had to help him by showing him how to insert the card??? Should’ve been the first hint….. He took us up to the room, opened the door, put some of our luggage in there and showed me the room with two beds….. I said to him, we are supposed to have three beds, and he responded, and I quote “you can accommodate can’t you”…… and he went on to say it’s not that big of a deal. I couldn’t even believe it….. after he charged us for our triple room price, which was substantially more than the double room. I said to him, you charged us for a three bed room, that is what we paid for, we will NOT accommodate for you. After he saw that we would not accommodate his request he showed us the room next to it, which was ready to go and had three beds and was much bigger! He completely tried to give us the wrong room and resell the more expensive triple room, not cool! It was obvious to us that he had done this to others before and gotten away with it. Beware of this guy.

The staff is very friendly, even though I could not understand much in spanish, we were able to use Google translate to communicate. The accommodations are really nice for a great price, and all the rooms have a nice view and are walkable to the main street with food and shops.

While we had a great stay at the Royal Galapagos, I would not book on Expedia again with them. Upon arrival they did not have our reservation written in their paper booking system and we had to have the front desk worker call the owner to discuss the problem. Luckily he spoke decent English and we could get to the bottom of it. They had an extra room or we may have been in a really tough situation. Overall, the property is very safe, breakfast was delicious, and it is convenient to everything you will need.

Definitely wouldn’t book it again and risk being let down on arrival by being told just 1 room available after booking 2, then having to find a room in another hotel.

The property was near to restaurants and up one end of town. Unfortunately the door to the balcony did not lock, the TV did not work and the wifi kept cutting out. The manager was very helpful and the breakfast was great. Room was clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately it is a building site. I was ill in bed for 3 days. First two day contract angle grinder and gammer noise was on all day. On my complaint second day it was less. On top of the owner left the place unsupervised with the house keeper. She could not speak a word of english. All night corridor extremely bright light was left on. No one on site to address the issue as the house keeper left premises 7 pm. There was no one there till next day 6 am.
