It was good, the only problem was that there was no heating. So the front desk provided us with an small portable heating unit which help a little,

My stay was great. But I was surprised when I booked 2 rooms, I had to pay for an extra person. I assumed since I booked 2 rooms, the 4 members of my family and baby can stay comfortably in the rooms. But, being forced to pay for 1 member of my family was a surprise. Can you clarify why that was?

Clean hotel, with a sufficient breakfast. Our room was quite large with a little kitchenette and sitting area. Unfortunately the kitchens are not stock with any utensils, kitchen ware, or a coffee pot. Location was good, a short walk to the historic centre with great restaurants. For the price a good hotel to stay for a few nights

The rooms are spacious and clean, the employees are very polite and friendly, the restaurant for the buffet breakfast is next to the Tomebamba river.

We loved our stay at the Venue Batan Hotel. It was super-clean and comfortable and modern. The room was spacious. Hot water. The bed and pillows were so comfy. The staff were always friendly and willing to help and make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was great with lots of fruit, pancakes, bread/rolls and choice of eggs and different cooked choices each day. Right by the river, beautiful view. We asked for a little heater for the room which they gave us no problem. Negative: there was a lovely kitchenette with fridge and induction burner but no utensils or pots or pans to cook with. Easy to walk to the center of town or get a cheap taxi which they called for us. Would definitely return.

El hotel es nuevo y las habitaciones son muy bonitas con vista al río. Hay algunos detalles que les falta terminar. La atención muy buena pero podrían mejorar también un poquito más la atención con el desayuno.

Staff are friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfast is included and very good quality and tasty. Small hotel makes for a more tranquil and intimate feel, which is nice for families. Housekeeping is very good. The back yard and path don't lead anywhere, which was disappointing, since it's right along the river. It would be nice to have access to the river. The Expedia listing says the family suite features cookware, dishes and other amenities with the kitchenette, but it was only upon request. The kitchen was completely empty and we had to request everything. If the hotel is seeking to cater to foreign travelers, they should consider stocking every kitchenette with the necessary cookware, dishes, soap, towels, etc, so that guests do not have to ask for so many things. For example, we asked for a coffee maker and they provided it a day later, but they did not provide filters or coffee. Taking care of the little details goes a long way to making guests feel at home and adds a lot of value to their experience, especially if we're paying $110 per night.
