Located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by many independent restaurants, food stalls, and convenience stores. Took about a 10-minute taxi ride to Coex Mall on the main street of Gangnam when traffic is good, at about 10:00 am; but the way back in the afternoon at about 4:00 pm took 30 minutes with heavy traffic jam.
Located in a music district with many studios renting private soundproofed rooms (some equipped with a piano); perfect if one is in need to practice preparing for music competitions. Many stores selling new and used musical instruments too.
A little caveat though, the name Uh-Flat was not displayed outside of the New Wing. Instead, the outside displayed the names of other tenants (a skin clinic and cafes on the ground floor). I got there after my ride dropped me off at The Main Building, which properly displayed the name Uh-Flat in Seocho, and the kind receptionists there walked me to the New Wing.
Apartment was spacious and clean. They provide light cleaning daily and a change of linens (bedding and towels) every 3 days. You must request the cleaning via chat app (they are on several chat apps) before 11:00 am and tell them the range of time you’re going to be out of the apartment. Otherwise, they respect your privacy and would not even bother knocking like in hotels.
The rooms were not even. The main bedroom was quite spacious with 2 twin beds and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom, however, was tight with hardly any space to walk around. No space to hang clothes or to put anything in this second bedroom besides 1 tiny nightstand. Privacy for the second bedroom was also an issue as it was partitioned with stained glass with no curtain, and there was no AC or other ventilation when the partition was completely shut. Interestingly, the unit featured lots of space for shoes at the entryway, even featured a shoe-drying rack.
Overall, my family had an enjoyable stay. It would be great if the second bedroom and outside signage issues are addressed by the property.
