I used the filter for picking a hotel and included must have parking, so I was surprised there was none at the hotel. There really wasn’t any parking outside or around the village, so I parked outside a house worried that my car would be damaged for upsetting the locals. The room was fine but only one wee biscuit and no hair conditioner, plus no TV.

The Angel was a spur of tge moment stay, while visiting a customer. This is a natural trust area, lots of history in Lacock. The propery is as close to original as possible, very old world. Rooms are sympathetically updated, to include en-suite bathroom. Accessed via cobble streets, the smell of coal fires, sound of horses and laughter. Nostalgic to say the least. Staff are great, food is good, fire is warm, rooms are silent. If you cant sleep here, you wont sleep anywhere! Ive seen comments about parking, to clarify, this is an old tavern as such. There is no parking at the property. Its a small village, you wont get lost on the short walk from the Trust / Red lion car park to the property, and a nice stroll at that, via the pub, which serves nice cake! And the sweetshop, stables, bakery, oh and the Gin brewer... Cant fault it, and will stay again. BTW, try the Bananna, maple syrup and bacon pancakes in the morning, thank me later

Staff at the property were lovely and customer service was great. Lacock village was very quiet so would recommend bringing something to entertain yourself in the evenings

The property is 600 years old. It doesn’t get more historic than that. What a fun and amazing experience. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and our room was clean and spacious and perfect for a little getaway.

We had a very nice stay at the Sign of the Angel. Even though the room was not very big, it had all we needed. It was a different experience. We wanted to stay in place with history, wooden beams and character and we definitevely got that - as well as comfort. The food was amazing, very gourmet, and the staff were fantastic. Super nice and helpful! The hotel has a lovely garden area where you can eat or drink outdoors. Loved it!

Built in 1492 or thereabouts, it is a building of a certain time. Doorways are low, floors a little uneven etc. Not unsafe but one needs to take care. Bed very comfortable and bathroom very good.

Very kind staff. We forgot something in the room and noticed that we came back to London. They were so kind to send them back. Would like to stay once again.
